Bring your pet animal on a leash or in a cage for this annual blessing ceremony. There will be an informal informational gathering session next Thursday, October 6th, 2016 at 7:00pm in the Social Hall. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) will begin in a few short weeks, and anyone wishing to join the Catholic Faith or anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith is invited to attend this session. Forms will be available at this session for you to complete if you are interested in attending RCIA. There are currently four open hours in our Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. This cost is necessary simply to replace the candles and please remember that the $3.00 is a “donation” not an obligation. “God never closes off horizons; He is never unconcerned about the lives and sufferings of His children. God never allows Himself to be outdone in generosity.” – Pope Francis If you or someone in your family is ill, is in the hospital , or is in a nursing home, please let Fr. Tom know so that he can come and visit. Volunteeers from St. Ann’s are badly needed to support the St. Ann Teams who deliver Meals to the needy every Monday. The deliveries begin at 9:00am and are usually completed by 10:30 or 11:00am. (Other church’s volunteers in the Shinnston area deliver on the remaining days of the week, but Monday is St. Ann’s day to deliver). St. Ann’s currently has only two full teams and one partial team to cover every Monday’s deliveries throughout the month. Please consider helping…it is very rewarding, and is so appreciated by the people who would otherwise have nothing to eat, if you didn’t bring it to them. Call Mary Ann Ferris at 304-592-2061 if you can help. If you would like to offer mass intentions for any loved one or friends who have passed away or for anyone who is seriously ill, please consider doing so. Mass Intention cards are available on tables at the entrance of the church. Please give the completed card and stipend to Mary K. in the office or you can place the card and stipend in an envelope “marked Mass Intention” and drop in the offertory basket at any collection.
