Monday
Literacy:
Counting Kisses
By: Karen Katz
We will be reading Counting Kisses by
Karen Katz.
“How many kisses does a tired
baby need? Count and kiss”.
Tuesday
Language:
“Big or Small”
We will sort out different images of
shapes and sizes and have the
children tell us which image is big and
which image is small.
Sensory:
“Bath Time is My Favorite”
We will fill up the sensory bin with
water and place plastic bath ducks,
and other bath-like objects in the
sensory bin.
Wednesday
Gross Motor:
“Waddle like a Penguin”
We will waddle like a penguin
throughout the hallways.
Sensory:
“Play Dough”
We will use our fine motor skills and
play with red and pink play dough to
manipulate a heart using our heart
shapers.
Week of: May 8-12, 2017
Thursday
Music:
“Jack and Jill”
We will dance and sing along to Jack
and Jill went up the hill”.
Language:
“Finger Play”
We will do fun activities involving
finger play counting 1-5 and
introducing the sign for caring.
Art/Fine Motor:
“Hand Shaped Flowers”
Friday
Literacy:
Mommy Hugs

We will be reading Mommy hugs
by Karen Katz.
“How many mommy hugs does it
take to say I love you?”
Art/Fine Motor:
“A Giftbag”
Student’s will create a giftbag out
of a brown paper bag and
decorate it with different colored
paint and “dot it” markers.
Teachers will trace the children’s
hands on construction paper and
cut them out and the children will
paint the hands and glue a
popsicle stick to their precut hand.
