The Medora Musical
The Medora Musical is a musical that is produced each summer at the open-air Burning Hills Amphitheatre near Medora,
North Dakota. The musical is a look back at the "Wild West"
days of the region and includes references to Theodore Roosevelt, who spent time in western North Dakota.
Chateau de Mores
The Chateau de Mores in Medora, North Dakota, United States,
is a historic home built by the Marquis de Mores in 1883 as a
hunting lodge and summer home for his family and guests. The
home is now part of the 128-acre Chateau de Mores State Historic Site, which also includes Chimney Park and de Mores Memorial Park.

Calling all teens for an Old West Adventure...
The 2016 NDVS/SB Teen Summer Camp is heading west to
historic Medora! You’ve heard about Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt,
our 26th President, but did you know that he spent time ranching
in the Badlands of North Dakota before he became president?
Did you also know that Western North Dakota was home to a
Frenchman named the Marquis de Mores and that the town of
Medora was named after his wife?
You will learn about Teddy Roosevelt, the Marquis, the wildlife you
can discover in the Badlands, the history of ranching and cowboys
in the early days of North Dakota, and maybe even enjoy a camp
fire or two!
If you are in grades 7 through 12, please consider this unique
