Person-Centered Care
Located inside Broadmead’s scenic
campus, Taylor Assisted Living is designed
specifically for residents needing
assistance with activities of daily living,
while also offering a relaxed environment
to pursue individual interests and activities.
We believe in person-centered care — care
that is tailored to the resident’s personal
preferences and needs. Residents make
their own day-to-day schedules, from when
to rise, where to dine, when to socialize,
and more — all while enjoying the personal
attention and specialized service they
may require.
The Stony Run Friends Meeting founded
Broadmead as a way to serve the needs
of older persons. It opened in 1979 as a
private, not–for–profit, continuing care
retirement community. Broadmead
continues to operate under the guidance
and ownership of a Quaker–guided,
not–for–profit corporation.

Taylor Assisted Living is licensed in the
State of Maryland for all three assisted
living Levels of Care*:
• Level 1 : Occasional
assistance or support
in one or more
personal care
or health
related areas.
• Level 2 : Substantial
assistance or support in
one or more personal care or health
related areas.
• Level 3 : Extensive and frequent
help to ensure that several personal
care or health related areas are
maintained.

Assisted Living
SERVICES AND
AMENITIES
Apartments
A choice of studio or one
bedroom apartments, each
featuring a private bath with walk-in shower,
kitchenette, and personal washer and dryer.
Routine housekeeping services are provided.
Dining
Three meals each day are offered, with
snacks also available at any time. Residents
can select when they wish to dine from any
of Broadmead’s exceptional dining venues.
Special diets and a dietitian are available.
Activities
Broadmead provides a variety of community
events, recreational opportunities, and
spiritual activities designed to nourish the
mind, body and soul.
Nursing and Medical Care
Taylor Assisted Living provides a dedicated
nurse on duty around the clock, in addition to
a physician and CRNP who are on site during
the week. Attending physicians visit each
resident regularly and as needed.
Emergency Services
All apartments are equipped with emergency
pull cords in the bedroom and bathroom, and
emergency pendants are provided.
Medication
Medications are distributed to those
residents requiring assistance by our
highly skilled Certified Medicine Aide or
Licensed Nurse.
Additional Healthcare Services
Broadmead will arrange or facilitate
access to other services as needed, including,
but not limited to: physical, occupational, and
speech therapies, skilled nursing, social work,
dental care, and other specialty services.
Transportation
Broadmead will arrange and provide
transportation to approved medical
appointments.*
