The Center for Dairy Excellence and the Penn State Dairy Extension
team will host a statewide Dairy PROS meeting this Thursday, 7
a.m. The meeting will begin with a complimentary breakfast and will
include a presentation from Dr. John Stanton with the Saint Joseph's
University School of Food Marketing on "What Fresh Thinking Can
Do" for Pennsylvania's dairy industry.
Anyone involved in Pennsylvania's dairy industry is welcome to
attend the meeting and learn more about the Dairy PROS program.

DEP WATER RESOURCES COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS
NUTRIENT CREDIT TRADING CHANGES
On Wednesday, August 14, DEP's Water Resources Advisory
Committee is scheduled to have a discussion of proposed changes
to Pennsylvania's Nutrient Credit Trading Program. Nutrient trading
is a market-based program that provides incentives for entities to
create nutrient reduction credits by going beyond statutory,
regulatory or voluntary obligations and goals to remove nutrients
from a watershed.
The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson
Building, Harrisburg. Click here for any handouts available before the
