Betty and I want to thank you for the recognition of our 20 years as District

have been elected Superintendent of the West

INVESTING WELL
I enjoy spending time with our three granddaughters. They bring such joy to our family. When I think
about the ways we are investing in their future I am reminded of the privilege we have to invest in the lives
of the young girls in our churches. How blessed our fellowship is because of Girls Ministries. Join with me in
praying that we are investing well into the lives of our girls. Praying for and with the girls, teaching them the Word, mentoring them
as they live for Jesus, and discipling them through Mpact Girls and Teen Girls Ministries is an investment that pays huge dividends.

Biker Chaplain Duane Gryder has asked West Texas HonorBound to provide a lunch for about
400 bikers, most of them veterans, traveling from California to the Vietnam Memorial in
Washington D.C. They will stop in Van Horn on Friday, May 21, at about 1 pm. We will provide
chili dogs and all the trimmings cooked on the LFTL steakwagon. Anyone who desires to help
cook and serve the meal would be welcome. (Bobby Garcia will be bringing a group of volunteers from El Paso.) If any of our churches have an active HonorBound Motorcycle Ministry, this
would be a great ride for them and an opportunity to see and hear 400 Harleys at one place!
Call 806-438-4751 to volunteer. Check the organization out at www.rftw.org.
