The logotype is the core element of the Village Associates corporate design and is THE graphic element to represent the
company. Consistent and proper usage of the Village Associates corporate logo will reinforce the Village Associates
branding efforts. To make branding easier, this .pdf file comes with updated and current logo files to help you and your
vendors in creating properly branded communications. The logo files were created in Adobe Illustrator and are supplied
in .eps, .jpeg and .gif formats for ease of use and versatility.
NOTE: Please delete any existing logo files for Village Associates and begin using the new art files provided on disk
or on the Web site at: www.villageassociates.com/art
There are two essential branding elements of the Village Associates logo:
• the logotype
• the colors
THE LOGOTYPE
The logo consists of the logotype (“Village Associates”) on a white background, or on a colored background but
surrounded by a white box. The white box is an intentional part of the logotype design and is not to be deleted or modified
in any way. For maximum flexibility of use, the logo is provided in the following versions:
• B/W
• 2C
• 4C process
Immediately below are examples of the various versions of the logo on both a white and a colored background. These
versions of the logo would be for general use in various collateral materials at a width of GREATER than one inch.
For information on logos for use at a width of LESS than one inch, please see the next page.

For smaller uses of the logo (3/4 of an inch to one inch) the logo has been modified slightly from the original, and is to be
used ONLY in those instances where the logo must appear at NO LARGER than 1 inch in width. For information on logos for
use at a width of greater than one inch, please see the previous page.

THE COLORS
Village Associates uses two primary brand colors in all of its communications: VA Burgundy and VA Green. Both VA
Burgundy and VA Green have corresponding Pantone Matching System (PMS) colors for use on both COATED and
UNCOATED papers. Use of the PMS color is preferred, especially for items such as stationery. However, if budget does
not allow for the use of a PMS color, the colors may be simulated using 4-color process. The brand colors are as follows:

LOGO USAGE
Village Associates logos are provided in both Adobe Illustrator .eps and Adobe Photoshop .jpeg and .gif formats.
The .eps files should be used for all printed materials (brochures, stationery, banners, ads, flyers, postcards, signage,
t-shirts, pens, etc.) and the .jpeg and .gif files should be used for all digital applications (Web, user interface, etc.).
While the Village Associates colors are clearly indicated in the digital files provided, it’s always recommended that you ask
your printer (offset, digital, or silk screen) to supply you with a color proof or PMS chip to indicate how the color will look
on the paper or material on which it’s to be printed.
B/W
• The .eps files are recommended for use in materials being printed (via traditional offset or digital printing). They are
provided in a version for use at 3/4 to 1 inch in width (file name: VA_Logo_BW-small.eps), and in a version for use
at greater than 1 inch in width (VA_Logo_BW-large.eps). These logos are different and are not interchangeable.
• The .gif and .jpeg files are recommended for use on the web.
2C
• The .eps files are recommended for use in materials being printed (via traditional offset or digital printing). It’s also
recommended that for item beings silk screened, the 2C logo on a white background be used. If necessary, add an
opaque white ink so that the logo always appears on a white background. The logo is provided in a version for use at
3/4 to 1 inch in width (file name: VA_Logo_2C-small.eps), and in a version for use at greater than 1 inch in width
(VA_Logo_2C-large.eps). These logos are different and are not interchangeable.
• The .gif and .jpeg files are recommended for use on the web.
4C-PROCESS
• The .eps files are recommended for use in materials being printed (via traditional offset or digital printing). They are
provided in a version for use at 3/4 to 1 inch in width (file name: VA_Logo_4C-small.eps), and in a version for use
at greater than 1 inch in width (VA_Logo_4C-large.eps). These logos are different and are not interchangeable.
• The .gif and .jpeg files are recommended for use on the web.
DO NOT
The logotype must be reproduced in its entirety, and must not be altered in any way.
Do not change the proportions of any of the elements of the logotype.
Do not place the logotype at an angle, or flip sideways or upside down.
Do not reproduce the logotype in any other colors than VA Burgundy and VA Green or Black and White, and do not
change the colors of the different elements (Example: do not change the colors to a different shade of VA Burgundy
or VA green). For more information on Village Associates brand colors, see “The Colors” section in this guide).
• Logos appearing smaller than 3/4 inch in width need pre-approval from Marketing (see “Approval Process” section
in this guide).
