Hello Robin Hood Campers!
With winter upon us, the cold only reminds us of one thing…
Summer 2016 is right around the corner! Dreaming of tower
jumps, sunsets, campfires and Green and White are some of
the things that warm us up. We can’t help but get excited about
our 89th summer!
This year’s NYC reunion was a blast! Campers and staff from
all over the country (and world!) enjoyed spending time with
each other, reminiscing about this past summer. We debuted our
video montage and are excited for you to receive your copy of it
as our holiday gift!
We hope you’ve been enjoying the 2015 yearbook, but we are
already looking ahead to 2016. Les and Jeff are hard at work
renovating the Junior Boys bathroom! Green and White break
brainstorming sessions have begun, new and exciting programs
are being prepped and staffing for the upcoming summer is
well underway. With an incredible staff this past summer;
the bar is set high for anyone new who joins The Realm.
Next summer will be here before we know it and several
groups are filling up fast. Be sure to enroll soon to guarantee
your spot at camp this summer. Please visit our website to

Montana “Monty” Black - Group Leader
I have been at The Realm for 10 summers, but it will never be enough.
I miss everything from stepping on the crunchiest pinecones, the
smell of the pine needles and especially the Dining Hall dance
parties. I can’t wait to come back as Group Leader and spend two
incredible months in Freedom. I just started my freshman year
at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia to study business.
I am also focusing on learning Spanish as a third language and
have continued to pursue visual arts. I love keeping in contact
with everyone from Robin Hood. It brightens my day and
reminds me of the most incredible moments of my life. To the
Scribes and Quills of 2016, summer is closer than you think
and I am so happy I will be there to enjoy it with you!

Favorite camp memory: My favorite memory of the summer was watching the
sunset with the Shires at the ODT, my favorite spot in camp.

What’s up crew? I am currently in my senior year of high school in
Cleveland, Ohio. I spend most of my time leading and volunteering
on the SWAP committee, which raises funds for students in
Malawi, Africa. I am busy applying for college, and hanging out
with home friends and camp friends. I am really lucky to live in an
area with so many camp people that I get to see all of the time! For
colleges, I’m looking at Penn State University, Indiana University,
Miami of Ohio, University of Wisconsin, and the University of
Michigan. Home can be fun, but nothing compares to summers
in The Realm. It was great seeing some of you at the reunion a
few weeks ago and I hope to see the rest of you soon.
Favorite camp memory: My favorite camp memory from this
summer was when Meister, Sobel, and I convinced the Archers that
we were leaving for an excursion the next morning when it really
wasn’t for two more days.
