General requirements apply to ALL temporary signs

A maximum of one (1) temporary sign shall be displayed per business at any given time.
Exception: A parcel with a building that contains only one tenant/occupancy may have one (1) temporary sign for
every 50 lineal feet.

For Example: If you have a flag displayed on the property, you cannot put out a
banner unless you remove the flag.
Must be professionally made and weatherproof
Must be kept in a state of good appearance, safety and repair
No broken, unsightly, inferior, faded, ripped, or worn materials
Shall be supported so as to remain in an upright position
Shall be located on private property, and not within any corner vision clearance areas
Shall not be placed in any landscaping strips that are maintained by the City of Nampa
Shall not be attached to trees, shrubbery, utility poles or the like
Shall not obstruct or obscure permanent signs on adjacent premises
Shall not be erected or maintained if its size, location, or construction constitutes a hazard
to the pubic by impeding the vision of pedestrian or vehicular traffic
Shall be spaced a minimum of five (5’) away from any other temporary or permanent sign,
except for fence banners, which shall be spaced a minimum of ten (10’) from any other
temporary or permanent sign
