Greetings,
The City of Freeport would like to thank you for your interest in the Summer Intern Program.
This program is designed to assistant our youth in discovering the workings of their city’s
government as well as inspiring them to set and reach their goals in any and all future
endeavors.
The Summer Intern Program is a nine week long program (June 5, 2017 through Aug 09,
2017) where each intern is assigned to a specified department that they have expressed
interest in working. The rate of pay is minimum wage ($7.25 per hour). Each intern will work
a total of 19 hours per week and will be paid on bi-weekly bases. Each interns’ schedule will
be set by the Director of the department they are assigned.
We also request that if your Intern is a minor please sign below that you agree to allow
them to participate in the Summer Intern Program.
We will be taking applications for this program up until close of business (5:00 pm) on May
31, 2017. Space is limited.
