Plant Growth Regulator
Mepex® Gin Out™ is a plant growth regulator that modifies the cotton plant in several beneficial
ways. Uniquely formulated with kinetin, Mepex Gin Out reduces excessive cotton growth and
puts more emphasis on boll development to help maximize yield and quality. It provides all the
performance of mepiquat chloride with unsurpassed growth control and better boll retention. The
addition of kinetin helps to stimulate leaf expansion, bud formation and delays leaf senescence,
ultimately boosting yield and quality.

Application recommendations
RATES
Applications starting at matchhead square: Apply 2 to 4 fluid ounces per acre depending on
vegetative vigor and application timing.
Applications starting at early bloom: Apply 8 to 16 fluid ounces per acre depending on cotton
height, bloom stage and vegetative growth.
Do not apply more than a total of 48 fluid ounces of Mepex Gin Out (0.132 pounds mepiquat
chloride) per acre per season.
Preharvest Interval (PHI): Do not apply within 30 days of harvest.
Restricted Entry Interval (REI): 12 hours.
Spray Volume
Ground application: Use a minimum of 2 gallons of water per acre.
Air application: Use a minimum of 2 gallons of water per acre or a minimum of 1 quart of oil
per acre.
