 There are several items in the lost and found. We have eye glasses, sun glasses, rings, earrings, makeup
bags and sneakers. If you have lost any of the above items, please stop in the main office to claim
them. I have placed the eye glasses on the counter. For jewelry, you must be able to identify items to
claim them.

chaperoning the dance on Saturday.
 The Prom Committee will meet after school today in room 130.
 The boys tennis team is a few people short of competing this Spring. If you are motivated, have athletic
ability and want to have a lot of fun, we will teach you tennis. SIGN UP NOW! Tennis camp begins March

 Conemaugh is pleased to announce that the next Conemaugh Career Day for students aged 16 and older
will be held Tuesday, March 8. More information is available in the guidance office.
 Varsity Girls Track & Field conditioning will be held Monday & Wednesday in the Field House from 3-4:30.
 The Challenge Program 2016 Student of the Year Contest is now open. All 11th and 12th grade students
are eligible. Please stop in the guidance office for more information. Deadline for entries is March 11,
2016.
 The mission of Kids’ Chance of PA is to provide scholarship grants for college and vocational education to
children of Pennsylvania workers who have been killed or seriously injured in a work-related accident
resulting in financial need. The scholarship application is available online at apply.kidschanceofpa.org.
 The Pennsylvania Association of Medical Suppliers is pleased to announce their scholarship to a student
who has overcome physical challenges with the help of home medical equipment and supplies. More
information is available in the guidance office.
 Juniata College is excited to add three new varsity sports – men’s and women’s golf as well as women’s
lacrosse – beginning in fall 2017.
 The Captain Bob Gallardy Memorial Scholarship is available to any senior who is a member of a volunteer
fire department located within and serving the communities within the school district. Stop in the guidance
office for an application.
 If anyone is interested in attending PTI, Pittsburgh Technical Institute and would like to compete in their
2016 High School Design Show and Scholarship Competition, please see Mrs. Cecere in the art room for
more information. The categories include Video & animation, Design, Computer Aided Drafting,
Photography and Web Development.
 Students who enjoy creating art and logo designs are encouraged to create a new logo for the
Pennsylvania State Athletic Directors Association which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The contest is
open to students 13 and up in grades 9-12. First, Second and third prizes will be awarded. The art room
has additional information, supplies and entry forms for this project.
 $2,500 welding scholarship. Students must be pursuing a two-year welding certificate or degree at an
accredited academic institution.
 Thomas O’Brien Memorial Scholarship. The student must be a vocational technical student and plan on
attending a post-secondary institution majoring in a career and technical field.
 The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies is offering a summer internship opportunity. The
internship will run from June 20 through August 12 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. If you are interested, please
see the guidance office for more information. Application deadline is February 29.
