Scholars across the institutes and faculties of Leiden University (historians, literary scholars, classicists, art historians, philosophers, lawyers, political scientists, theologists and archaeologists) engage in research on the early modern period: roughly the period 1450-1750. There is, however, little communication and collaboration between these academics. Unfortunately, the institutional separation seems to get in the way of interdisciplinary collaboration. This register aims to facilitate collaboration between early modern researchers at Leiden University. An entry in the register does not commit scholars to anything, but it does make their research accessible for scholars within and outside their discipline. Do you also wish to be on the list, or would you like to modify your entry? Please send an email to Leonor Álvarez Francés, [email protected]. 2 REGISTER OF EARLY MODERNISTS AT LEIDEN UNIVERSITY (2015) NADINE AKKERMAN Email: [email protected] Homepage: http://www.hum.leiden.edu/lucas/organisation/members/akkermannnw.html Centre for the Arts in Society (LUCAS): Modern English Literature Function: Lecturer English Literature Field of interest: The Correspondence of Elizabeth Stuart, Queen of Bohemia; FemaleIntelligencers Keywords: manuscript cultures, palaeography, textual studies, women's history, cryptography (secret modes of writing), espionage, and life-writing L.
