Friday March 4th 2pm - Watergate Baptist Church
Women's World Day of Prayer
Women's World Day of Prayer is an international, ecumenical,
prayer movement praying for a different country each year.
The churches in Brecon take it in turn to arrange the local
service. This year it is being hosted by Watergate Baptist
Church on Friday 4th March at 2.00pm.This year the focus is
on Cuba and the theme is "Receive Children, Receive Me".
All are welcome to attend.

Official Festival Launch
The official launch of this year's festival with the opening of the
Brecon Women's Festival Art Show 'Refuge' which
features new works by over 30 female Brecon Artists. The
festival is being opened by bestselling author and foraging
guru Adele Nozedar.

Bulwark (in partnership with Brecon Jazz Club)
Tamasin Reardon Band
Savour the lovely, lyrical sounds of the Alto Sax from leading
jazz instrumentalist Tamasin Reardon, who leads this band of
musicians ahead of their Summer tour. This event features
guitar, double bass and drums and you can expect your
favourite jazz standards along with some Latin and swing
classics, and a few surprises. It’s suggested you reserve a
table if planning to eat.

Alive & Kickin' Community Choir Brecon Open
Rehearsal/Sharing
Join the Alive & Kickin' Community Choir for an open
rehearsal/sharing to celebrate IWD & BWF and hear the
choirs' repertoire of humorous warm ups, songs from around
the world and original material. It's also an opportunity to find
out more about this popular local choir, if you've ever fancied
giving it a try. (Free event with tea, coffee and cakes on sale).

Tuesday March 8th 12.30 - 3.30pm - The Muse, Brecon
Creative Craft Workshop with Calan DVS.
You and your family are invited to join Calan DVS to make a
collective statement about the life of women. This will be a fun
activity involving cutting out from magazines, sticking and, of
course, your imagination to celebrate your lives. You are
welcome to come for all or part of the celebratory workshop.
Tea and coffee will be served.
