The churches in Brecon take it in turn to arrange the local service. This year it is being hosted by Watergate Baptist Church on Friday 4th March at 2.00pm.This year the focus is on Cuba and the theme is "Receive Children, Receive Me". All are welcome to attend. This event features guitar, double bass and drums and you can expect your favourite jazz standards along with some Latin and swing classics, and a few surprises. It’s suggested you reserve a table if planning to eat. Monday March 7th 7.30 - 9pm - The Muse Brecon Alive & Kickin' Community Choir Brecon Open Rehearsal/Sharing Join the Alive & Kickin' Community Choir for an open rehearsal/sharing to celebrate IWD & BWF and hear the choirs' repertoire of humorous warm ups, songs from around the world and original material. It's also an opportunity to find out more about this popular local choir, if you've ever fancied giving it a try. (Free event with tea, coffee and cakes on sale). You and your family are invited to join Calan DVS to make a collective statement about the life of women. This will be a fun activity involving cutting out from magazines, sticking and, of course, your imagination to celebrate your lives.
