MUSKEGON COUNTY DOG LICENSE APPLICATION
Michigan Law requires all dogs 4 months and older to be licensed. Also, all newly acquired dogs must be licensed
within 30 days. As of October 1,, 2011, the due date for purchasing your dog's license is linked with the month
of your dog's rabies vaccination. To apply for a dog license:
1. Fill out and print the application below.
2. Attach a copy of the current rabies certificate from a veterinarian.
3. Attach a copy of the spay/neuter certificate, if applicable.
4. Include payment.
If applying in person, bring all of the above to the Muskegon County Treasurer's Office at 173 E Apple Ave in
Muskegon. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. When applying in person you may pay with cash, a check
made out to Muskegon County Treasurer or with a debit/credit card with a small convenience fee added.
If applying by mail, send all of the above to Muskegon County Treasurer, 173 E Apple Ave. Suite 104, Muskegon,
Michigan, 49442. Please pay with a check or money order made out to Muskegon County Treasurer.
You have the option to purchase a one year license or a three year license. In order to qualify for a three year
license, A VALID RABIES VACCINATION IS REQUIRED FOR THE ENTIRE 3 YEAR LICENSE PERIOD! (The rabies
vaccination cannot expire before the dog license expires.)
