Realigning the Freezer Door
To realigning the freezer door, follow these steps:
1.
Open the freezer door and remove the drawer and storage bin.
2.
Verify that the index roller bar is in place.
Note: The index roller bar is a piece of metal that spans from one side of the freezer to the other
between two gears "index rollers." It sits in the freezer behind the drawer and storage bin.
It anchors and stabilizes the index rollers on the track that the freezer drawer slides on.
3.

If the index roller bar is not in place, refer to Reseating the Index Roller Bar below.
o
If the index roller bar is in place, replace the storage bin and drawer, and then proceed to
step 3 below.
Slowly slide the door in and stop when it is open 6 to 8 inches (no more than 8 inches).

Now, close the door firmly, but do not slam it.
Important: You want to use just enough force to ensure the index rollers shift back into place.
Reseating the Index Roller Bar
To reseat the index roller bar, follow these steps:
1.
Open the freezer door and remove the drawer and storage bin.
2.
Verify that the index roller bar is in place.

between two gears "index rollers." It sits in the freezer behind the drawer and storage bin.

If the index roller bar is in place, replace the storage bin and drawer, and then refer to
Realigning the Freezer Door above.

If the index roller bar has been dislodged and fallen out of place, first search for and locate
the small plastic clip that holds the bar in place, most likely lying on the bottom of your
freezer compartment, and then proceed to step 3 below.
Important: You will need that clip to keep the bar in place. Nothing is "broken;" rather,
this piece has simply been dislodged and fallen out of place.
3.
Insert the end of the metal rod that has the hole into the right index wheel, and then insert the
other end of the metal rod (without the hole) into the left index wheel.
4.
Seat the plastic clip into the hole on the right end of the index bar. This clip prevents the bar from
sliding back and forth and falling out. After inserting the clip, tug on the bar slightly to ensure that
it is securely in place.
5.
Replace the storage bin and drawer.
