He has been directing the Chordsmen for 6 years and sings baritone for 2010 International Senior Gold Medalists “Resisting-A-Rest,” 2008 Pioneer District Champs “Something Big!!” and 2012 Pioneer District Silver Medalists “Blendy Boys.” Charlie Martin (Assistant Chorus Director) Charlie became the Chordsmen’s Assistant Director a year ago after singing with the chorus and in quartets for many years. Charlie also plays trumpet, sings in “Singers on the Grand” and he has directed the “Holiday Wishes” show at the Opera House to benefit G.L.E.A.P. Rich Harlow (Master of Ceremonies) Rich is a 38-year barbershopper and has been a primary script-writer or M.C. for many barbershop shows and events. He is a key part of “Music and Mirth” that The Patch Chords bring to around Mid-Michigan and beyond. But some people have asked, “which one is the monkey?” Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door (Gordon Lind, tenor; Rick Mills, lead; Gary Langdon, bari; Darrell Neves, bass) The quartet members’ ages add up to 265 years, hence the name: “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.” We enjoy singing for all occasions: birthdays, anniversaries, retirements and anytime someone will listen to us.
