Summer Reading
All PCHS students will be required to read two literary works. Both will be used for grades
assignments at the beginning of the year.
Each student will be required to read Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.
In addition, students must read another literary work that corresponds to their rising grade level.
9th Grade: The Odyssey by Homer
10th Grade: The Death of Ivan Ilyich by Leo Tolstoy
11th Grade: A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams
