Cleveland vs. Golden State in NBA Finals Rematch at 8 p.m. ET & L.A. Clippers vs. Oklahoma
City at 10:30 p.m.
TNT Tips Off 2016-17 NBA Season with Star-Studded Opening Night Doubleheader on
Tuesday, Oct. 25 –Cleveland vs. New York at 8 p.m. & Golden State vs. San Antonio at 10:30

Throughout Season
Turner Sports, entering its 33rd consecutive year of NBA coverage, will feature an expanded 64-game
schedule during the 2016-17 NBA regular season including the addition of a new Monday night
package beginning on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The network will showcase the league’s
biggest stars throughout the season including 10 appearances by the Golden State Warriors and
Los Angeles Clippers, nine appearances by the defending NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers,
the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs, and eight
appearances by the Oklahoma City Thunder. TNT will televise 20 Thursday night and 10 Monday
night NBA doubleheaders during the regular season.
TNT’s new Monday night game package, part of Turner’s long-term extension with the NBA that
includes enhanced multimedia rights throughout its portfolio, will debut with a primetime doubleheader
on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Jan. 16). The marquee doubleheader will feature an NBA Finals
rematch between the Cavaliers and LeBron James visiting the Warriors and Steph Curry at 8 p.m.
ET, followed by the Clippers and Chris Paul hosting the Thunder and Russell Westbrook at 10:30
p.m.
Signature Monday night games will also include the Warriors and offseason acquisition Kevin Durant
facing his former Thunder team (March 20 at 8 p.m.), along with the Cavs and James visiting the
Spurs and Kawhi Leonard (March 27 at 8 p.m.).
TNT will officially tip off the 2016-17 NBA regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 25, with a doubleheader
featuring the defending NBA Champion Cavaliers with James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving hosting
the new-look Knicks with Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis at 8 p.m. In the
night’s second game, the Warriors – coming off an NBA record 73 regular season wins – will host the
Spurs and Leonard at 10:30 p.m.
This year will mark the 21st straight season the network has tipped off with two games on opening
night. TNT’s opening night coverage will also include Cleveland’s championship ring ceremony prior to
the opening tip of the Cavaliers/Knicks game. The night’s action will begin with a one-hour TNT NBA
Tip-Off presented by AutoTrader pre-game show at 7 p.m.
TNT’s coverage of Kia NBA Tip Off 2016 will continue Thursday, Oct. 27, with a doubleheader
featuring the Bulls with new addition Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler hosting the Celtics and offseason acquisition Al Horford at 8 p.m., followed by a match-up of elite Western Conference point
guards when the Clippers and Chris Paul visit the Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard at
10:30 p.m.

§ Kevin Durant and the Warriors will host the Thunder on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 10:30 p.m. in the
All-Stars’ first game against his former team. In the night’s opening game, the NBA Champion
Cavaliers will appear on TNT for second straight week, facing the Eastern Conference rival Boston at
8 p.m.
§ The following week will see another new acquisition facing his former team for the first time, when
Dwyane Wade and the Bulls visit the Miami Heat on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 8 p.m.
§ A match-up between the two most recent No. 1 overall NBA Draft selections on Thursday, Nov. 17,
when 2015-16 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves
host rookie Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers at 8 p.m.
§ A marquee doubleheader on Thursday, Dec. 1, featuring some of the league’s biggest stars – the
Cavaliers and James hosting the Clippers and Paul at 8 p.m., followed by the Warriors with Curry
and Durant facing the Houston Rockets and James Harden at 10:30 p.m.
§ Off-season signing Pau Gasol will visit his former team when the Spurs travel to Chicago to take on
the Bulls on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 9:30 p.m.
§ An inter-conference meeting between the Warriors and Knicks, featuring three of the league’s four
most recent MVP award winners (Curry 2015 & 2016, Durant 2014 & Rose 2011) on Thursday, Dec.
15, at 10:30 p.m.
§ A match-up featuring two of the league’s highest scoring players on Thursday, Jan. 5, when the
Thunder and Westbrook visit the Rockets and Harden at 8 p.m. The night’s second game will
feature the Spurs visiting the Nuggets at 10:30 p.m.
§ The new-look Indiana Pacers with offseason acquisitions Jeff Teague, Al Jefferson and Thaddeus
Young joining All-Star Paul George will make three appearances on the new Monday night package,
all at 8 p.m. – Jan. 23 vs. New York, Feb. 13 vs. San Antonio and March 6 vs. Charlotte, with
Jefferson facing his former team.
§ The up-and-coming Timberwolves with Towns and Andrew Wiggins will make a total of four
appearances on TNT, including a Western Conference showdown against the L.A. Clippers, Paul and
Griffin on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 10:30 p.m.
§ Dwight Howard will return to Houston when the Atlanta Hawks visit the Rockets on Thursday,
Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. The night’s second game will feature a match-up of Western Conference contenders
when the Warriors meet the Clippers at 10:30 p.m.
§ An inter-conference doubleheader will feature the Cavaliers taking on the Thunder on Thursday,
Feb. 9, at 8 p.m., followed by the Celtics visiting the Trail Blazers at 10:30 p.m.
§ In the first TNT doubleheader following the All-Star break on Thursday, Feb. 23, the Cavaliers and
James will host the Knicks and Anthony at 8 p.m., followed by the Warriors with Curry, Durant
and Klay Thompson against the Clippers with Paul, Griffin and DeAndre Jordan at 10:30 p.m.
§ Consecutive appearances by the L.A. Lakers and No. 2 overall pick Brandon Ingram against
Western Conference opponents and teams led by young notables – visiting the Phoenix Suns and its
young core of Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight and Devin Booker on Thursday, March 9, at 10:30
p.m. and a match-up against the Denver Nuggets and 2015-16 NBA All-Rookie First Team selection
Nikola Jokic and NBA All-Rookie Second Team selection Emmanuel Mudiay on Monday, March 13,
at 10:30 p.m.
§ A late-season match-up featuring Durant visiting Oklahoma City on Monday, March 20, when the
Warriors play the Thunder at 8 p.m., followed by the Knicks and Porzingis visiting the Clippers
and Jordan at 10:30 p.m.
§ A pair of highly compelling in-conference doubleheaders to close out the regular season – the Celtics
vs. Hawks on Thursday, April 6, at 8 p.m., followed by the Timberwolves vs. Trail Blazers at
10:30 p.m.; and the Washington Wizards vs. Detroit Pistons on Monday, April 10, at 8 p.m.,
followed by the Rockets vs. Clippers at 10:30 p.m.
In addition to its regular-season coverage, TNT will be the exclusive home of NBA All-Star Weekend’s
signature events including the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge on Friday, Feb. 17, State Farm
All-Star Saturday Night on Feb. 18, and the 66th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 19. The network
will also televise more than 40 NBA Playoff games – the most of any network – including first and
second round action and the exclusive presentation of the 2017 NBA Eastern Conference Finals.
