Regulations
Terms
1. The 5. International Brass Instruments Competition will be held
in Gdańsk from 4th till 9th May, 2009 at the Stanisław Moniuszko
Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
Participation conditions
1. The competition is open to the young musicans born after
April 30th, 1979
2. Application form for taking part in the contest with personal data,
repertoire, the copy of passport, portrait photograph, biographical note
(send also to the following e-mail address: [email protected]),
correspondence address and the proof of registration payment, should
be sent by February 28th, 2009. Our address:

by Marc 31st, 2009.
4. It is advisable that the participants should arrive with their own accompanists.
Otherwise the organizers will ensure an accompaniment for the duration
of the competition but the costs are to be covered by the participant.
5. The participants cover the their costs of traveling, accommodation
and board.
6. The participants are obliged to perform the following:

1. Every participant should pay the entrance fee of 60 €.
The fee should be sent by February 28th, 2009 to the following address:

2. The payment for possible accompaniment in every stage is 60€.
Jury
1.Competitors’performances will by graded by an international
jury, comprised of distinguished authorities in the field of music.
Prizes
1. The jury will grant the participants of the competition with:

II prize
7 000 PLN
III prize
3 000 PLN
Other prizes awarded by institutions or private persons will be treated
as off regular prizes.
All the participants will be given diplomas of participation.
2. The jury has the right to grant the prizes in another way. 3. All decisions of the Jury are final and are not subject to question,
review or appeal. General resolutions
1. All the hearings are carried out in public. 2. During the III stage hearings participants will be accompanied by the
Academic Symphony Orchestra.
3. The order of the performances will be chosen by lot.
4. The winners are obliged to take part in the final concert organized at
the end of the competition.
5. The Competition participants are transferring to the organizers, without any remuneration, their author’s economic rights regarding:
- performing of the pieces during the Competition,
- performing of the pieces during the laureate concert,
- the rights to their own image (done by use of all the photographic and
recording techniques as registered during their participation in the Competition as well as in the laureate concert).
