Historic Gettysburg Town Carriage Tour
10 – 12 Passenger carriages with comfortable, padded bench seats
and a sun-shade canopy take guests on this leisurely tour of
Gettysburg, including areas where the battle raged in town on the
first day. Docents in period attire accompany most tours, giving
factual accounts of how the events unfolded .
Tour leaves from the Gettysburg Heritage Center located 297
Steinwehr Ave.
Battlefield Horseback Tour
Groups of up to 15 guests travel by horseback over the Gettysburg
Battlefield. Experienced and informative guides or historic narrative
recording available on every tour. Guests must be at least 8 years
old and weigh less than 250 pounds. Close-toed shoes are
required. Guests under the age of 18 must wear a helmet (we
provide the helmet). No horseback riding experience required.
Town Walking Tour
Groups of up to 20 guests join our docent in period attire as they
stop at some of the interesting and unique homes, buildings and
areas of Gettysburg relating some of the effects of the conflict upon
the town and its people. This is not a ghost tour, it is a tour based
in fact about the experiences by local civilians that survived the
Battle of Gettysburg.
