9/22/2011 Introduction Undernourishment of older people By Rosa Hassan Pharmaconomist Aims This project focuses on undernourishment, which has been left unattended due to obesity being one of the main focus points of the public. Method • To shed light on what the pharmacy can do to inform costumers • Which kind of information costumers are interested in knowing Results • Primary research: - Survey (customers) • Secondary research: - Documents (div. Litterature and brochures) Results • The participants in the survey are between the age of 60 and 90. • The test reveals that 40 % of the participants prefer to consult their doctor about “undernourishment”, • whereas 14 % prefer to ask at the pharmacy. Results • The customers knowledge about what an undernourished person should eat, is poor. • 74 % do not give the right answer. However, they do know the consequences of undernourishment. Results • 28% are either undernourished or knows someone who is.
