The Chinese Civil War eventually resulted in the
birth of Communist China on October 1, 1949.
After a bitter civil war against Chiang Kai-Shek’s
Nationalist Chinese, Communist Red China was birthed
on October 1, 1949, under the leadership of Mao TseTung. China was called Red China for the same reason
that the Bolshevik Soviets were called the Reds – both
represented the Red revolutions of Marxism.
