The emphasis of my work is the connection between art, life, the moment of meditating before the subject matter, capturing its soul - something which I believe cannot be done by painting from photographs, as well as preserving for me a visual diary of memories. For this reason I’d like to call my exhibition The Silent Life of Things. Because even though the objects in my work cannot talk or speak, they create an impression through their physical relationship with one another.
