Apple Slice - East Village

INGREDIENTS
METHOD
• 340g packet
vanilla cake mix
(I use home brand)
Preheat oven to 180°C. Mix butter and cake
to combine.
• ⅔ cup melted butter
• 400g can pie apple
• 200g sour cream
Spread evenly in a paper lined, 30x20cm,
rectangular baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
Combine apple and sour cream. Spread evenly
over base and return to oven for another
15 minutes.
Cool completely in the fridge (this allows the base
time to set). Serve cold.
Optional: Sprinkle with cinnamon before the
final bake.
I love the combination of cinnamon and apple
and if you are a baker like me, you have ground
cinnamon in your cupboard all the time.
