Queen’s Birthday Celebrations
Just thought you might like to see a couple of the street party photos – we had such a great time. We
sent the birthday cards we made to Her Majesty at Buckingham Palace – along with a big photo of our
street party and one of the PTA tea towels so she can help with the washing up!
Feast of St Peter and Paul
As you know we all went to Mass in the chapel at Southbourne to celebrate the feast
day of our Patron Saint of Peter and of course St Paul. Mrs Byles taught the children
lots of lovely songs that they sang at Mass. Evie Monllor and Elsie Brown, both from
Reception, read the first reading and the Gospel so wonderfully,
while Klaudia Myczko-Jankowska and Alfie Wagner helped Juliette
(our Chaplain) act out the gospel, they were so good. Fr Tom said
Mass and said the children were very, very, very, very good. He was
right they were magnificent, we were all so proud of them.
Family Fun Day
Family Fun Day is nearly here
– I can’t believe it’s our 3rd
one already. If you haven’t already –
please remember we need – bottles, toys,
books, soft toys, cakes, fruit and gifts for a
tombola.

Saturday at 11am.
Breakfast Club
The catering company, inspired
by Carole, our chef, have offered
to run Breakfast club from 7.45am from September, which is so good of them. If you require a place please let Mrs Preston, in the office, know. We will have lots of Reception families too – so please don’t forget. The price will
stay the same - £1 for childcare, plus whatever
you choose to purchase for your child’s breakfast. Remember £1 for childcare is separate to
the cost of food, which is payable to Chartwells.
Parent Coffee Afternoon
Thank you so much for continuing to come along to parent coffee afternoons this
year. We are planning to make them more inviting next year by providing proper
afternoon teas for parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles etc. The catering company
will be doing all the work so we don’t have to!! We can just enjoy a chat!
Extra curricular Activities
We are busy planning extracurricular activities for the next
academic year for year 1 and
year 2 we will let you know what
we have managed to arrange in
September.
Assemblies
Many thanks to everyone who attended the class assemblies this term—you
are great, your support for your
children and the staff is magnificent.
Next year, on assembly mornings, the
catering staff will be organising a
coffee shop that you can visit while
you are waiting—good idea!!
Forest Schools
Forest schools will continue in September
for year 1 and year 2. there will be a
meeting for parents of year 1 children and
any year 2 parents who couldn’t get to last
years’ meeting. You will be able to find out
all about Forest Schools
and the role it plays in
our curriculum.
The
meeting will be on
Tuesday 13th September
at 2pm.
END OF TERM
We will be ending our school year on Friday 15th
July at the normal time of 2.45pm.
After School club will continue until 6.00pm as
normal.
