Software Guide for Mac

Software Download Guide for Mac Go to http://www.atmequipment.com and then sign into your account with your email address and password. Once you are signed into your ATMequipment account, go to the Support link. -‐
-‐
Click on the Support Link and a drop down menu will appear Click on the ATM Machine Software Downloads in the drop down menu 1 This will bring you to the page where the software downloads are located at. There will be a lot of software options here; however you can narrow it down. On the left side of the page there is some text that says, “Search by Machine” select your machine manufacture, then select the model type. This search option is located on the left side of the screen Now once the manufacturer and model have been selected, and the field of software choices has been reduced now you will need to know which software you need. If you do a full load of software this will clear out all of your programming in your ATM. (except for master keys). If you select update then the ATM should maintain all of its programming. 2 Select software type Once you know what software package you need, click Go, in the red box. When that link is clicked it will bring you to another page with information pertaining to the software download. 3 Click on the link next to File Download: Now before the download happens, your computer will most likely ask where they would like to have the download saved. Once you click on this link it’s going to start to download the information onto your mac computer. For this example we downloaded a full boot loader for a Hyosung Halo, it will be the same for your machine though. Once you click the download it will go to a folder in the upper right hand corner of your screen. In “Safari” this blue bar with the down arrow shows that the software selected is being downloaded to you’re down load folder on your computer. To get to your download folder you can do it one of two ways, you can click on the blue bar as shown above, and then just click on the downloaded file in there. Or you can click on finder, which is located on the Doc of your Mac the image for finder appears like this: 4 Once you click on finder it will pull you up to a new window like the image placed below where you should be able to pull to find the “Downloads” folder. This is where the downloaded file that you just pulled from atmequipment.com will be placed. As you can see in the photo above the downloaded software comes in the form of a folder you will need to open this folder and remove the contents inside. The photo below shows what it will look like once you have clicked on the folder and it has opened to the next screen. You will want to drag the following items listed above to your SD card. •

•
EBOOTA8.BIN EBOOTABS.BIN NhA8snk.bin stpda8s.bin update folder Move the 5 of those over onto your 2GB sd card and make sure that nothing else is on the sd card. Your SD card should be good to go. 5 How to reload software via SD Card on a Windows CE 6.0 ATM (1500SE, 1800SE, 2600 (Halo), 2600SE (Halo II), 2700/CE, 2700T, 4000W, 5000SE, and
5200SE)
Please follow the steps below to replace existing software or to reset all passwords.
NOTE: You must use a 4-gigabyte or smaller SD Card (not a Micro/Mini to SD Card converter
or SDHC). It has to be formatted as FAT or FAT32. NTFS formatting does not work. (Preferably
non SanDisk brand but it no longer matters)
WARNING: THIS PROCESS WILL ERASE YOUR MASTER KEYS, AFTER COMPLETION
YOU WILL NEED TO RE-ENTER MASTER KEYS BEFORE PUTTING YOUR ATM BACK
ONLINE.
1. Unzip the .zip file that you downloaded from the NHATM.com website. Copy the “Update”
folder and the four .bin files to your SD Card.
2. Turn the machine off.
3. Insert the SD Card into the SD slot on the ATM’s I/O board.
4. Turn DIP Switch #4 on the I/O board to the OFF position.
5. Turn the machine on. You will see this screen.
6 6. Choose SD Card (Function Key #5).
7. Choose Upgrade (Function Key #6). Skip step #9 you do not see this screen. DO NOT use the
Format and Upgrade option unless you have done Upgrade and it did not work.
8. Choose Yes (Function Key #3).
7 9. You will see the progress of the Flash Format, StepLoader Download, BootLoader Download
and OSImage Download. They will count from 1% up to 100%.
Note: If the progress section says “Skipped” or “No File”, you either have an issue with the SD
Card Formatting or the file structure is not correct (see step #1’s picture and your SD card should
look like this) or your SD Card is the wrong size (bigger than 4 Gigabits) or your ATM doesn’t
like that SD Card for X reason.
8 10. Once finished and you see the Reboot option (Function Key #8). 11. CONFIRM THE BIOS
VERSION IS “V06.01.15” after ATM reboots, select “SD CARD” again. ATM will
update the Flash Format, StepLoader Download, BootLoader Download and OSImage
Download again.
12. Once finished and you see the Reboot option (Function Key #8). 13. Turn on the ATM and confirm EBOOT version “V06.22.15”. 9 14. Power the ATM off. 15. Turn DIP Switch #4 on the I/O board to the ON position. 16. Leave
SD card in. 17. When the machine is powered on, you will get a Software Update screen line
this. Note: If you don’t see this screen, go back to step #7 and choose Format & Upgrade
(Function Key #2).
18. Once complete, you will see this screen. Allow the ATM to reboot on its own. DO NOT turn
the machine off yourself.
10 19.
Power the machine off and remove the SD Card.
20.
Power the machine on and after the ATM initializes, verify that you see this FFFFF error
on the screen.
21.
Power the machine off, open the vault door (do not touch the vault door position switch)
and then power it back on.
22.
Watch the screen for the Please Wait While Initializing Screen.
23.
When the Please Wait While Initializing Screen comes up you will have roughly 5
11 seconds to enter in:
• Clear > Left Arrow > Right Arrow > Clear > Clear > Cancel
24. If done correctly you will see the Reset Master Password Screen.
25.
Hit “Yes” and then confirm.
26.
Once the Master Password has been reset, log into Master Function Menus with the
default password of 555555 and verify that the AP/Application Version is now up to the
desired level.
27.
Verify the ATM Model Type after logging in to the Master Function Menus. If ATM
Model is correct skip to step #29, if ATM model type is incorrect then continue to next
step.
12 28. If ATM Model Type is incorrect go to System Setup (Function Key #6) > System Control
(Function Key #8) > NVRAM Clear (Function Key #8) > Clear All (Function Key #1) > Select
Model Type of this ATM > Apply & Clear (Function Key #8) > Yes we are sure (Function Key
#1).
29. After verifying that the AP/Application Version & the ATM Model are correct, in to Master
Function Menus choose System Setup (Function Key #6).
30. Choose Device Setup (Function Key #7).
13 31. Choose CDU Setup (Function Key #1).
32. Change the CDU Type (Function Key #2) to either:
• 82 for a 1K CDU.
• 03 for a Front Load 2K CDU.
14 • 0B for a 2K CDU with Throat.
• 43 for a Rear Load 2K CDU.
33. Once the CDU Setup has been set correctly, we need to go to Card Reader setup and change
it to EMV if we have an EMV Reader Installed. If we have a DIP Reader installed skip this step.
34. Finally, configure the reset of the ATM as if it came out of the box and save doing the Master
Keys as the very last thing you do.

Troubleshooting
• If we went through the SD Reload Process and we noticed that the AP Version didn’t upgrade
to 06.01.XX (which ever version of Software that we are trying to upgrade to), then we will need
to do a S/W Update through the Operator Functions by logging in with the Master Password >
System Setup > System Control > S/W Update.
