Dates To Remember Jan 1 st New Year’s Day (No School) Jan 4 th School Reopens Jan 18 th Martin Luther King Jr December was a short month but filled with many celebrations and activities. Children performed their musical numbers for our Annual Christmas Concert. The children also celebrated different holidays in December such as Hanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Year’s Day. They had lots of fun, enjoyed their celebrations and wrote letters to Mr. Santa Claus. Appreciation of all the wonderful things about you. Illness Children MUST stay home when they show symptoms of any deviation from normal health. (Please refer to Parent Handbook and doctor’s note is required upon return) - Fever of 100 degree or higher - Vomiting on two or more occasions -Eye discharge or Pink eye - Diarrhea - Head lice - Draining Rash Open oozing sores and scabs - Contiguous medical diagnosis REMINDERS: 1.Arriving to school is very important in order to avoid disrupting the entire class. Please arrive to school by 8:45am and pick up at scheduled time (11:30/2:30); additional charges will be applied. Students Appreciation Day Takes place on January 29th, 2016. On this day we will recognize each of our prized students by providing children with a special snack of Lemonade served with Goldfish. Teachers will also recognize children by having a special activity planned just for them! Please let the front desk know if you don’t want your child to participate in this activity. 2. All children must have two sets of extra clothing (shirts, pants, underwear, socks) in their cubbies. Please write the child's name on all personal belongings. 3. Children, who nap should bring a crib sized bedsheet and a small blanket. Our storage is limited, so please do not send pillows, quilts, or large blankets. 4. All medications must be labeled with your child's name and in their original containers if the medication is prescribed. Please give all medications directly to the teacher. Please write your child's name, the name of the medication, the dosage, the time that the medication is to be given and the expiration date. Please sign and date the medication form. The medication log must be also completed daily by the parents indicating the timings that the medication will be given. 5. Fire and Earthquake drills happens twice a month, parents, please note that parking lot gates will be closed during the event. 6. Importance of Sign-In and Sign-Out on ProCare System -Enter Personal ID -Enter Password -Click on child's Picture for Sign-In or Sign-Out at this time, on this date -Click FINISH to complete procedure School will remain CLOSED on Monday, the 18th of January, 2016 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. . 7. Children's Birthday Celebration - (No eggs, no nuts, low sugar whipped cream and frosting) -No goodie bags please -If parents wish they may donate a book to your child’s classroom with your child’s name written inside. Hippopotamus sweat is red. Sign-In and Sign Out Tigers can jump more than 30 feet (9.1metres) in one leap. Parents please remember to sign in and sign out every day. To ensure your child is under our care at the time of your sign-in is essential and that no additional charges are made to your account for late pickups. Babies have more bones than grown-ups. You’re born with about 300 bones, but when you’re grown up you end up with around 260. What happens? As you get older some of your small bones grow together into big ones. Every person on earth has a different fingerprint. We all have different tongue prints, too. Crocodile mommies never have to teach their babies not to stick their tongue out at other crocodiles. This is because crocodiles can’t stick their tongue out – their tongue is attached to the top of their Parking Lot The parking lot only has one entrance and one exit (one way only). Parents must drive around the school building in order to exit from the parking lot. Please make sure that your child is by your side at all times in the parking lot. Again, reminders to all parents please do not leave your older or younger siblings in the car without any adult supervision. Please bring them inside as you are picking up your child. This is very important in the evening as it is very dark after 5pm. The parking lot closes promptly after 6pm and for the safety of you and your child, please do not allow your child to be running or playing around in the parking lot.
