School Uniform
Our pupils must wear the official Dollar Academy school uniform on all school occasions and take pride in their
presentation and appearance. The uniform should be worn with shirt tails tucked in, ties fully done up and top
buttons fastened. Blazers should be worn around the school. Jewellery, make-up and coloured nail-varnish are not
permitted. Hair should be clean and tidy and boys should be clean-shaven.
The full details of the school uniform for each age group is included below. Regulation items are marked * and
must be purchased from one of our official stockists, or obtained second-hand in good condition. All items should
be clearly and indelibly named.

The school Thrift Shop for quality used items is run by parents (opening between 2:30pm – 4:00pm on the second
and fourth Thursday of each month, and on the afternoon of the summer and spring holidays) and is located in the
basement of the Prep School building.

Sportswear
Our school uniform includes sportswear and pupils are expected to wear the appropriate items from the list below
when taking part in P.E. lessons or representing the school in competitions or training. Pupils should bring their
sportswear to school on the relevant days. All items should be clearly and indelibly named.
‘Quints’ are the four groups into which pupils are divided for internal sports competitions. The allocation takes
place during the Autumn Term, so shirts cannot be bought in advance. Form VI pupils are asked in particular to
contact the PE department to be allocated.
The details of any additional specific items of clothing for teams are provided upon selection.
