Winemaker
Jonas, younger brother to David Tofterup, was born in Esbjerg-Denmark in 1985. Having looked up to his older brother
as a role model, it was at a very early age that Jonas decided
we would one day work along side his brother to create exciting, quality driven wines. This became a reality when he joined
the Hammeken Cellars winemaking team in June 2012. Living
in Valladolid-Spain, Jonas will be focused on our wine collections coming from Ribera del Duero and surrounding areas of
Rueda, Toro, Bierzo, and Rioja.
To get to where he is now Jonas worked hard studying and
working internationally . He obtained his B.Sc. in Food Science
and Technology from the University of Copenhagen in 2009.
In 2012 he received his M.Sc. from the international viticulture and enology program offered by Vinifera EuromasterMontpellier. He also holds the WSET diploma title and in 2014
he was admitted as a student to the Master of Wine program
based in London.
