As human resource development awareness
within all departments of the organization
increases, training demand increases.
Migration of qualified human resources from
an organization results in new recruitment and
increased volume of training.
Aware of the future increase in training
requirements and to cope with the current
training demands, EgyptAir developed its
training center to have both the quantitative
and qualitative capabilities to provide the
required training.
EgyptAir Training Center is located at Cairo Airport in a newlybuilt center which complies with architectural and infrastructure
requirements of a modern training facility.
The Cabin Crew Building and the Simulator Building
commissioned in June 2003 and August 2003, respectively.
The S-Building, which is the latest extension in the facility, is
being implemented at the present and should be commissioned
within 14 months.
Full Flight Simulators
EgyptAir Training Center operates three state-of-the-art Level D Full
Flight Simulators (FFS) for the following aircraft types:
A320 family (A318/319/320/321)
A330/340 dual type convertible FFS
B777
All FFS are approved from the Egyptian
Civil Aviation Authority and the French
DGAC in accordance with JAR-STD1A as
Level D and are annually re-qualified by
the DGAC in accordance with the
European regulation JAR-STD1A.
Flight Training Devices
The center operates Flight Management System Trainers
(FMST) for every simulator type used for the initial training of
pilots, and linked to the FFS to upload the flight plan created
by the trainer to reduce the simulator training time.
Computer-based Training (CBT), Flight Training Devices
(FTD), and MFTD are also available.
Cabin Crew Trainers
EgyptAir Training Center operates two Cabin Service Trainers (CST) for
both narrow and wide body configurations. A state-of-the-art Level 4
Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainer (CEET) is also available with a
three axis motion system, visual system, fire and decompression
simulations, malfunctions and scenarios, on-land evacuation, full ditching
procedure on swimming pool, customized lesson plans, and video
recording and playback facility for evacuation.
First Aid Training
EgyptAir Training Center implements a full and integrated First Aid
Training Program that includes:
Theoretical training on different kinds of first aid incidents on board
and ways of treatment.
Practical training on the performance of CPR for adults, children, and
infants.
Practical training on the treatment of wounds, burns, and fractures,
in addition to the treatment of choking for adults, children, and infants.
EgyptAir training center provides training for all technical
personnel (engineers and technicians) operating in the line
maintenance, base maintenance and different overhaul
workshops

EgyptAir Training Center became a full member in the ICAO
TRAINAIR Program through an 8-months project with the ICAO.
The program resulted in the development of a complete Weight &
Balance Course for Load Controllers, in addition to the
establishment of a Course Development Unit (CDU) with course
developers qualified according to ICAO standards.
EASA
European approval in accordance with European Aviation Safety
Agency (EASA) Part 147 to the Technical Training Department in
the field of Maintenance Staff
TRTO
Currently seeking an European approval of EgyptAir Training
Center as a Type-Rating Training Organization (TRTO) for pilots in
accordance with the European regulation JAR-FCL1.
Aviation Security for Airline Operators Program
EgyptAir Training Center developed an Aviation Security for Airline
Operators Program in accordance with the ICAO standards and
approved by the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority. This program is being
implemented on pilots and cabin crew staff.
Human Factors Programs
EgyptAir Training Center developed and implemented the following
programs that handle human factors in compliance with international
regulations:
Human Factors for Maintenance Staff
Crew Resource Management (CRM)
Aviation English Language Proficiency
In Compliance with ICAO requirements, all pilots are being evaluated
to determine the level of their aviation English language. Those who
did not attain the ICAO required operational level (Level 4) shall
receive the necessary training to help them attain the required level.
EgyptAir has played a leading role in the design and development
