Proverbs 4:10-15
Review:
Part 1 – Direct & Protect
In driving, a Guardrail or Guiderail is a system designed to keep
vehicles from STRAYING into DANGEROUS or OFF-LIMIT
areas.
In life, a Guardrail or Guiderail is a PERSONAL STANDARD of
BEHAVIOR that becomes a matter of consciousness.
Principles of Guardrails and Guiderails
 DAMAGE will be the least.
 Minor CONFLICT or INJURY.
Part 2 – Why Can’t We Be Friends
Friendship Facts:
 Friends determine QUALITY & DIRECTION of your life.
 When you are with friends, you will DROP your GUARD.
 ACCEPTANCE leads to INFLUENCE.
Proverbs13:20 ~ “He who WALKS with the wise GROWS wise,
but a COMPANION of fools suffers HARM.”
 A wise person understands all of life is CONNECTED.
 A fool knows right from wrong but DOESN’T CARE.
Part 3 – Flee the Fire
Proverbs 27:12; 6:27-28; 1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Proverbs 27:12 ~ The prudent see _______ and take _______,


Don’t TRAVEL ALONE with a member of opposite sex.

Don’t EAT ALONE with a member of opposite sex.

Don’t HELP ALONE a member of opposite sex.

Don’t CONFIDE in or COUNSEL a member of opposite
sex.

Don’t DECEIVE yourself.

When you feel your heart drifting towards a specific
person, TELL SOMEONE.
Guardrails & Guiderails for Single People:

GOUGE OUT YOUR EYES WITH A SPOON.

APPLY all the Married People guidelines to all your
relationships with married people.

No SLEEP-OVERS.

If necessary, take a relationship BREAK.
