Indiana American Water has made the decision to no longer provide Wastewater (Sewage) and Storm
water billing for the City of Wabash. You will continue to receive your monthly Indiana American Water
bill, but your wastewater and/or storm water services will be mailed to you by the City of Wabash
starting November 1, 2012.
Indiana American Water will bill your final wastewater and/or storm water bill in October; please make
this payment to Indiana American Water. You will receive your first wastewater and/or storm water bill
from the City of Wabash Wastewater (Sewage) Utility Billing Department in November. At this point,
you will start making payments to the City of Wabash Wastewater Utility Department. Any and all
outstanding wastewater and/or storm water balances as of October 31, 2012 will be added to your next
bill. This bill will be sent to you by the City of Wabash Wastewater (Sewage) Utility Billing Department in
November.
The billing date for residential service will be the 3rd of each month. The billing date for Commercial
service will be the 18th of each month. If not paid by the due date, a penalty will be added.
There will be a 10% penalty charged for wastewater and a 10% penalty charged for storm water on all
delinquent accounts. When an account becomes 90 days delinquent, a lien will be filed and attached to
the property. Landlords DO have the option to receive the wastewater and/or storm water bill for their
rental properties, directly to them. NOTE: In order to receive this option, landlords are required to
register with the Wastewater Utility Department.
The following payment options will be available;
1) There will be a Drop off box located at City Hall, on the South side of building. Payments may
only be dropped off during NON-office hours. City Hall business hours are Monday through
Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Walk-In payments will not be accepted at City Hall.
2) Walk-In payments for wastewater (sewage) and/or storm water will be accepted at the
Crossroads Bank located at 1205 North Cass Street.
3) Credit Card or Debit Card payments can be made through the City of Wabash Website at
cityofwabash.com
4) Payments can be mailed to:

5) Bill pay will be accepted through your bank
The City may require a $50 deposit on new customer.
The City may charge a NSF on returned checks
