PARDON PRAYER: MY GOD, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love

First Sunday of Lent 2017, St. Joseph Parish, Milton
1st Weekly Mediation and Group Discussion Points for
Lenten Group Prayer and Sharing Sessions
This ‘2017 Lent’ is a part of the 100th Anniversary of the Fatima Apparitions; it is my
intension that my Lenten reflections will be seen under the light of this great event
in modern history. More about the Fatima Message later, it is enough to say, Our
Lady of the Rosary’s message is the message of Jesus Our Lord throughout the four
gospels. Although Our Lady did request that we daily offer a rosary for ‘Peace on
Earth’, it was the new prayers taught to the church in these difficult days by the
Angel of Peace in 1916 and by Our Lady in 1917 that should become a powerful
source of grace through our daily prayers. Please consider praying these prayers.
PARDON PRAYER:
MY GOD, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love You! I beg pardon for those
who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love You.
Angel of Peace, Spring 1916
The three little children: Lucia dos Santos, age 10, her cousins Francisco Marto, age
8, the youngest visionary, Jacinta Marto, age 7, all three would do little penance and
say this pray for the salvation of sinners, a whole year before Our Lady appeared in
1917. Think of how often you could offer up a little cross and bless your offerings
with the angel’s prayer.

Angel’s Prayer while teaching the children to adore the Blessed Sacrament, just
before giving the children Holy Communion:
Prayer to the Blessed Trinity:
O MOST HOLY TRINITY, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore You
profoundly. I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity
of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation
for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifference by which He is offended. By
the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate
Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.
Angel of Peace, Fall 1916
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Eucharistic Prayer:
MOST HOLY TRINITY, I adore You! My God, my God, I love You in the
Blessed Sacrament.
Our Lady of Fatima, May 13, 1917
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Sacrifice Prayer:
O JESUS, this is for love of You, for the conversion of poor sinners, and in
reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of
Mary.
Our Lady of Fatima, July 13, 1917, requested as one endures suffering, makes
sacrifices, or offers up mortifications.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Prayer to be added to each Decade of the Mysteries of the Rosary
O MY JESUS, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, Lead all
souls to Heaven, especially those most in need (of Thy Mercy).
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Whether alone or with others, please stop and mediated upon the words, the
message, the concern, the direction of each of these prayers, what strikes you?
Why at this time in modern history? What seems to be the concern of the Angel of
Peace, who is known to be St. Michael the Archangel, what is the concern of Our
Loving Mother, Mary?
This First Sunday of Lent always starts off Lent with a prayerful meditation of Jesus
in the desert being tempted by Satan. Is the devil real? Is there any reason we should
be concerned about sin, temptation and eternal separation for God’s Mercy? Why
were the children shown a view of hell? Why does the greatest Christian prayer, The
Our Father, The Pater Noster end with the strong pleading to be delivered from
temptation and delivered from the Evil One? How can our Lenten Days help deliver
us from evil? Please reflect upon this week’s message and pray for me and for one
another. A Holy Lent makes for a Happy Easter, Fr. John D. Hoke
