Fantasy
Uses magic and other
supernatural phenomena as a
primary element of plot, theme
or setting. Many works within
the genre take place in fictional
worlds where magic is common.
These stories usually take place
in the past. These books can
contain actual settings and
historical characters however
main characters and the story
line are made up.
The events people and places
might be real, but the story is
fiction. It can appear to the
reader to be something that is
actually happening.
The characters are trying to solve
a puzzle that often involves a
crime. The writer gives clues to
the reader. The author may also
give false clues.
Stories told in comic book
format.
Scary and dark. Often has
characters such as witches,
vampires, ghosts, etc.
