I note you seek access to the following information:
The number of police officers who were formally disciplined for
a) drugs offences and
b) sexual misconduct or sex offences in each of the last two complete calendar
years (i.e. 2014 and 2015).
In each case I would like to know the rank, gender and of the officer disciplined, the
year of the disciplinary proceedings, the outcome of the proceedings and a brief
description of their misconduct.

Partially disclose the details of these matters as requested with information
that may identify any individual removed in accordance with section 40 of the
Freedom of Information Act (the Act).
Fully exempt low level data due to the risk of identification, again the
exemption applied is section 40.
DISCLOSURE
The number of police officers who were formally disciplined for
a) drugs offences and
b) sexual misconduct or sex offences in each of the last two complete
calendar years (i.e. 2014 and 2015).
A) There were 18 officers formally disciplined for drugs offences, 9 in 2014 and 9 in
2015.
B) There were 11 officers formally disciplined for sexual misconduct or sexual offences,
8 in 2014 and 3 in 2015.
In each case I would like to know the rank, gender and of the officer disciplined,
the year of the disciplinary proceedings, the outcome of the proceedings and a
brief description of their misconduct.
Please see the attached table outlining the details requested under the second aspect
of your request.
REASONS FOR DECISION
Information that would identify or could assist with the identification of individuals is
exempt from disclosure by virtue of Section 40(2) of the Act. In this instance the full
disclosure the description of the incident would be likely to assist with the identification
of both the officer concerned and, in some matters, a third party. Additionally the
returned data showed that almost matters related to the rank of constable (either a
police constable, a detective constable or a special constable). In addition to the data
provided there was a further record relating to an officer outside of this rank. As that is
a single record the risk of identification is higher and therefore no details can be
provided in respect of that matter.
