Grand Champion Paid ONLY where no trophies have been donated
No Grand Champions paid unless 4 head or more in breed.
No Junior Champion Ribbon for Junior Bulls & Females unless 3 or more animals in
the class.
Less than 3 entries in class only pays First Prize.

All Prize winners to participate. Failure to do so can incur disqualification.
Veterinary Surgeon:
Service obtainable on show day, Exhibitors responsible for all fees incurred.
NATIONAL LIVESTOCK IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM
PIC # QHBN1637: All cattle traveling to the Kalbar Showground’s MUST have an NLIS device applied before leaving
property of origin (this includes calves).
All cattle present at a Show must have the individual identifications read and the movements to and from the site recorded on the
showground’s Property Identifications Code (PIC) in the database.
On Arrival
1. On arrival at the Kalbar Showground’s the exhibitor is to present all animals’ NLIS number(s) (this is the visual number
on the NLIS device or the electronic number read by a device reader) to have the NLIS device read at the designated time
and place.
2. Supply the PIC of the property the animals are last registered to.
3. Supply Move Easy Waybill or NVD/Waybill number – No Waybill, No Entry to Showground’s.
On Departure
1. Supply any animal’s NLIS number(s) that are different from arrival
2. The PIC where the animals will return to.
3. Supply Move Easy Waybill or NVD/waybill number.

Age of cattle will be taken from June 1st, 2015.
Tick infested cattle will not be allowed to compete.
P. N. Owners of livestock from tick free areas must make arrangements to have them sprayed before they return.
The Society will not accept any liability for livestock exhibited, the risk being that of the exhibitor.
All exhibitors to have Public Liability Insurance Cover and have their policy endorsed for Show purpose
Electrical Equipment- Any exhibitors intending to bring electrical equipment and or gas bottles to the
showground’s will be required to ensure that such equipment is fitted with earth leakage circuit breakers and that
all electrical leads, tools and appliances have been inspected and tagged by a licensed electrical contractor or gas
fitter. This is essential for the safety of all exhibitors and general public and is a requirement of work place health
and safety act of 1995. The act imposes very severe penalties in the event of non compliance with its provisions.
Any exhibitors who do not comply will not be allowed on the Kalbar showground’s. Exhibitors should check all
electrical equipment and all gas bottles to avoid occurrences of any difficulties
EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE!!! ---- All children 13 years and under leading CATTLE in Grand
Parade must be accompanied by an adult. Exhibitors allowing CHILDREN to lead cattle in the Grand
Parade do so at their own risk and accept full responsibility for any incident that may occur. The Kalbar
Show Society or any of its members will not be held liable for any damage or injury which may occur
through any such incident.
All cattle exhibited must be entered or eligible for entry in the approved herd book
If, in the opinion of the Judge, the cattle exhibited in the Stud Beef Section are not worthy of a prize, no award
will be given.
The Stewards shall have the power to call upon any exhibitor showing cattle for competition to sign a Statutory
Declaration as to the age and bona fide ownership, and if in the opinion of the Stewards, there is any doubt as to
the correct age of the exhibit the matter shall be referred to the Judge, whose decision shall be final and if
necessary the Stewards may authorize mouthing of the exhibits as to correctness of age.
All animals to be owned by exhibitor. All bulls 12 months and over must have a nose ring and are to be led by
nose rings and halter. Bulls under 12 months must have nose grip or ring. Other animals must be haltered. On
arrival at the show grounds all animals must have nose rings or nose clips in place on all animals.
CATTLE TICK TREATMENT FOR LIVESTOCK RETURNING TO CLEAN AREAS
• Kalbar Showground does not have an approved spraying facility
• Exhibitors returning to Cattle Tick protected area will need to contact the D.P.I. to book in for treatment at
one of their cleaning centres.

13. TUBERCULOSIS & TESTING:
•
Exhibits which originated from property classified by the Chief Veterinary Officer of the Stated concerned as
free from Tuberculosis shall not require tuberculin testing prior to the Show.
• The Chief Inspector of Stock shall determine conditions applying to the entry of cattle from infected or
suspect properties to the Show.
The President & Members of the Kalbar Show Society thank the Queensland Government, Department of Local
Government for their financial support through the Show Societies Grant Program.
This financial assistance is a great help to all Show Societies, assisting them to continue to stage their Annual show,
enabling their district to gain from the economic, social and cultural benefits that shows bring to their local
community.

Clarification of Terms
In this waiver, release and acknowledgement form, “the society” means and includes:
a)
All affiliated entities;
b)
Servants or agents of the society and / or all affiliated entities;
c)
Employees of the society and / or all affiliated entities;
d)
Members of the society and / or all affiliated entities;
e) Volunteers of the society and / or all affiliated entities.
Declaration of Event Participant
1.
I hereby acknowledge that it is a condition of participating in the event that I do so at my own risk. I accept all risks and release the Kalbar & District Agricultural & pastoral
Association Inc, sometimes referred to as The Kalbar Show Society and from this point on referred to as “the society”, from all claims, demands and proceedings arising out of or
connected in any way with my participation in the Event. I indemnify them against all liability for any injury, loss or damage to myself or my property arising out of or connected
with my participation in the Event. This release continues forever and binds all of my heirs, successors, executors, personal representatives and assignees.
2.
I acknowledge that it is a condition of participating in the Event that the Society and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event are absolved from all liability
arising from injury or damage to myself or my property howsoever caused arising out of participation in the Event whatsoever whether due to any negligent act, breach of duty,
default and/or omission on the part of the Society and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event, or otherwise.
3.
I acknowledge that any person participating in the Event is only allowed to do so on the distinct understanding that they do so at their risk.
4.
I acknowledge that participating in the Event may involve a real risk of serious injury or even death from various causes. I accept all risks necessarily flowing from participating in
the Event.

I acknowledge that the Society relies on the information provided by me and state that all such information is accurate and complete.
6.
I acknowledge the difficulties of participating in the Event and warrant that I am physically fit to participate in the Event and that I have not been advised otherwise by a qualified
medical practitioner. I acknowledge that I must disclose any pre-existing medical or other condition that may affect the risk that either myself, or any other person will suffer injury,
loss or damage.
7.
I acknowledge that it is a condition of participating in the Event that I follow the instructions of the Society and any person directly or indirectly associated with the Event at all
times. I indemnify and keep indemnified the Society and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event from all claims, demands and proceedings arising out of
or connected with a failure by me to comply with rules and/or directions given to me by the society and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event.
8.
I indemnify and keep indemnified the Society and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event against all claims made by any other person for injury or
damage howsoever caused arising out of participation in the Event, whether due to any negligent act, breach of duty, default and/or omission on the part of the Society and any
person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event, or otherwise.
