a) Give each child an A3 picture of the farm.
b) Give your children 5 of the mini animal flashcards, e.g. Old MacDonald, the horse, the ducks, the cows, the pigs
c) Now instruct your children to put the flashcards in a certain place on the farm, e.g.
As an extension activity, you might like to use the A3 farm picture for further ‘listen and do’ practice:
a) Print off an A3 picture of the farm for each pair of children.
b) Ask your children to point to the target vocabulary items on the A3 picture. (You could also ask your children to count
the chickens and sheep).
c) Now write the anagrams of the target vocabulary on the board and elicit the words from your children.
d) Hand out the A4 Label the farm activity sheet and ask your children to write the words in the correct boxes.
