Most people don't know because all we care about is candy, dressing up, or scaring people. Halloween started out as the festival of Samhain. Samhain is celebrated on the night of October 31. Christians in Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, believed that the dead returned on Samhain. When Samhain came around, the people would leave food and wine on their door steps so the ghosts would leave them alone. The kids would dress up to make it look like they're monsters so they won't get attacked when they leave the house. These are some fun facts about halloween. This is Halloween's history. There are lots of Interesting facts about Halloween. Did you know that in the old days instead of having pumpkins they had turnips as jack-o-lanterns? Another interesting fact is that most people prefer chocolate by Reed Finnegan more than any other candy. An average kid’s bag has more than 11,000 calories inside. One of the ingredients in butterfingers is butane(harmful chemical). Halloween is a very fun time for lots of people.
