CCivr How to modify or add a key word Please note: This brochure is meant only for applications that uses so called “Select From Menu” building blocks and not more than about 1000 key words to distinguish the offered services! The system CCivr supplies as an additional option speaker independent voice recognition not only by means of key words but also by means of ‘Natural Language Understanding (NLU)’. In the first case the selection between the offered criterion is done by speaking the key word (typical application are e.g.: information systems) whereas in the second case the caller can answer more natural and the required information is extracted from his answer (a possible application could be in ordering system for articles, flights, etc.). Contents: & How to modify a key word & How to add or delete a key word & How to adjust the speech recognition How to modify a key word A key word is a term which the caller of your application can use to request information e.g. about special offers on different travel destinations. CCivr ! 3 How to adjust the speech recognition This section should be consulted only if, in rare cases, the speech recognition of your application became insufficient after adding or changing a key word and you had no success with the option ‘Sounds Like’ or ‘Phonetic Input’. Probably because the key word is a foreign word. Before modifying the below described parameters note them down for recovery. 1. Click the Application - icon . 2. Select SIR Parameter in the drop-down list box ‘Components’. 3. Select the name of your application in the drop-down list box ‘Application’. 4. Select the language in the drop-down list box ‘Language’. 5. Select the name of the dialog step in the drop-dow list box ‘Dialog Step’ where the key word should be recognized. Please note: The changes affects the complete building block with this dialog step name and not only the one key word making troubles! Suggested order of modifying the relevant parameters: Acceptance Accuracy Sensitivity Rejection (~ 40) (100 - 400) (~ 26 dB) (~ 70) 6. Clear the check box ‘Reference’. 7. Adjust the parameters individually. The relevant parameters are: Acceptance: Threshold for the recognition probability of the word . Each recognized word has a calculated probability that it is the right word. This value is compared with the value set as acceptance parameter. If this calculated value is higher, the recognition is accepted. Accuracy: Specifies how many possibilities at the same time should be considered during the recognition process. This parameter should be handled with care because it influences directly the CPU load and memory consumption. Sensitivity: Threshold for the minimum energy level of the recognized word. If the value is to low a noisy line may cause recognitions. Do not touch this parameter for key word manipulations.. Rejection: Threshold for the rejection of other words, except the key word, in a spoken context. 8. Click Apply. Alcatel Austria Voice Processing Center Rel.4.1 3BR 05774 ENAA Ausg.01 4 ! CCivr !
