Here comes Uncle Adverb
Well. Color me profoundly and deeply surprised. On the heels of the Brexit vote, Secretary of State John Kerry -- Uncle Adverb
himself -- decided he needs to stick his horse's snout into the mix.
Kerry will be flying] to Brussels and London to help hammer out the details of the UK leaving the European Union.
What could go wrong?
No word yet on if James Taylor will be squirreled away in John's carry-on bag.
The truth is, the Obama Administration is scared shitless -- or horrifyingly scared -- that the ripple effect of the UK's exit will spread
to other EU member countries. Apparently they believe John Kerry has the negotiating powers to turn chicken shit into chicken
salad.
That's mightily optimistic of them.
After all, this is the guy who did such a profoundly good job negotiating a deal with Iran.
By the end of his visit, I fully expect the EU to nuke London, capture US seamen and start funding terrorists around the globe.
Sending Obama to London to lecture the Brits about staying in the EU wasn't enough to turn the tide against Brexit. Does anyone
really believe that sending the haughtily smug Uncle Adverb will quell the rising tide of anti-EU sentiment?
The purpose of this Iran Deal was to stop the nuclear dominoes from falling. But it was Kerry himself, by conceding time and again
to Tehran, that actually got the dominoes started.
My guess is, Kerry's visit to the EU will be about as counter-productive as his dealings with Iran.
But here's the irony.
When he was first elected, Obama made quite a show about how, with him as President, the US would no longer arrogantly stick its
nose into another nation's affairs. Remember that? He flew to Europe and Cairo and apologized for America being "arrogant,
dismissive and derisive." He assured the world that we would not presume to dictate to them how they should govern themselves.
But like most things Obama said, it was pure baloney.

He stuck his Nosy Parker nose into Britain's business in April. He tried to stop Brexit. Hell, he even threatened them. And despite
it all, he couldn't get them to budge. Now with France, the Netherlands, Austria, Finland and Hungary signaling] they too may want
to follow the UK's lead, arrogant, dismissive, derisive Obama is sending Kerry to stop them.
The EU is as much Obama's baby as it is Angela Merkel's. Well, he is a Citizen of the World, after all. And since the EU is aiding
and abetting this Jihad by Emigration that is destroying Europe, Obama is deeply committed to keeping the EU together. Never
underestimate Obama's rage that part of the anger in Europe is over the EU's refugee policies.
In a lot of ways, the Obama Administration bears some responsibility for the European Union's imminent downfall. Had he not
scampered out of Iraq and bungled the civil war in Syria, ISIS would not have gained the foothold they did in that region. Had he
not aided Islamic radicals in overthrowing Gaddafi, ISIS wouldn't have been able to spread to North Africa. This Jihad by
Emigration that is happening today in Europe is a direct result of Obama's failure in the Middle East. It would never have happened
if Obama had been a competent President.
But because he's one of those progressive ideologues, he will never acknowledge his own culpability in the mess he's created.
Instead, he will double-down. He will declare that "we can't go back." He will proclaim that "we will lose the progress we've made"
if nations of Europe abandon the EU. He will lecture that "it is not who we are." Because for Obama, "who we are" are Citizens of
a Global World.
This shouldn't come as a surprise. It is exactly how Obama operates here at home.
Just take for example, Obamacare. Obamacare is a mess. Everything they claimed would happen hasn't happened. In fact, people
are losing their insurance, losing their doctors, watching their premiums skyrocket while state exchanges go bankrupt. It is a
disaster. But any talk of repeal is met with shrill anger and threats. Because "we can't go back." We can't lose "the progress we've
made." "That's not who we are."
Obama would rather push forward with disaster than change direction.
Obama is incapable of changing direction even when the wheels come off.
And the wheels have come off the European Union.
I hope European nations have enough sense to place their survival and security ahead of Barack Obama's misguided and destructive
vision of the world. I hope they have more courage and fortitude than, say, the Republicans in Congress. I hope they tell Kerry to
go pound sand just like the Brits did with Obama.
