Kungsholmens gymnasium/Stockholms Musikgymnasium The Natural Science Programme English Language Natural Science Branch The Natural Science Programme is a three-year programme which follows the syllabus for the Swedish Natural Science Programme using English as the language of instruction. Students applying from a Swedish school normally apply on-line to the Swedish Gymnasium through the Admissions Board in Stockholm at www.gyantagningen.se All tuition is provided in English, which is our working language. An entry exam in English is required if you do not have qualifications showing your level of English is sufficient. Ask your Guidance Counsellor for help. Please note that the English language Natural Science Program (EN) is listed as a separate alternative. Besides core subjects such as English and Swedish, the programme includes subjects such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. This programme of study follows a slightly modified version of the Swedish curriculum to allow more international aspects to be studied. All programmes require students to take courses in Physical Education and Health and in Languages. In year 3 students choose from a number of additional subjects which the school offers. The student also chooses individual electives. A research project must be carried out by each student in the final year. Students from this programme may continue to university studies abroad, as well as in Sweden. Those who do not at present attend a Swedish school can obtain an application form from our homepage www.kungsholmensgymnasium. stockholm.se or from the Admission Board. School transcripts of grades and attendance at non-Swedish schools should be attached. Any other relevant information should be included in a letter as an appendix.
