MOVIES IN THE PARK | Four Sponsorship Levels
Movies in the Park is a five-movie outdoor summer series held at both Riverside and Riverfront Park. There is one movie per month, from May – September, and
the movie choices allow for a family-friendly atmosphere. Each movie begins at a different time, typically beginning between 7- 8:30pm, depending on sunset
times. In addition to the movies, we also have food trucks and dessert-food trucks at each event and concessions are sold. This event brings the largest amount of
people together, and offers various levels for promotion of your business/organization. Movie in the Park 2017 sponsorship information is available online at www.

Lynchburg Parks and Recreation is proud to host our
second annual Movie in the Park summer series. As
a sponsor of this series, your business will support a
community event that offers the citizens of Lynchburg
and the surrounding counties the opportunity to gather
together, experience the park, and enjoy arts and culture
in an outdoor environment. The 2015 Movie in the Park
pilot event brought in over 900 attendees, and the past
season brought in 7,000 attendees over five dates.
These movies will be offered free of charge, ensuring
that each and every member of the Greater Lynchburg
Area will have the opportunity to attend. Take this
opportunity to be a part of one of Lynchburg’s best new
community events.

GUINNESS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT EVENT | Four Sponsorship Levels
This year we are going after the Guinness World Record title for the World’s Largest Tree Hug. To break the record title, we will host a special event on Saturday,
April 29, 2017 at Peaks View Park from 3pm - 8pm. The event will be free to attend, and will offer nature/conservation/preservation/wellness-themed activities,
interactive demos and programs, as well as live music, food trucks and a beer garden, family-friendly games, and much more! All participating organizations,
sponsors, and partners will have 4.5 hours of time to interact with event attendees. We expect a minimum of 1,500 attendees at this event. Because of the scale of
this event, we have set up four (4) levels of sponsorship for your organization to take part in.

EASTER EGG ROLL ON THE LAWN | Four Sponsorship Levels
The Easter Egg Roll on the Lawn is a family-friendly event celebrating Easter at the Point of Honor house, similar to the White House Egg Roll, put on by Lynchburg
Parks and Recreation and the Lynchburg Museum System. There are various event happenings, games, live music, egg hunts and rolls, and much more for participants
to enjoy. In previous years, this event brought over 2,000 attendees to the Point of Honor house. For the fourth year, we expect 3,000 participants to visit the event.
To continue this tradition and to help create a sustainable event, we are seeking four levels of sponsorship from local businesses, organizations, churches, and
individuals.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS | Various Sponsorship Levels
The Festival of Lights is a free, family-friendly holiday light attraction at Riverside Park open nightly from 5:00pm – 9:00pm, December 1 through January 1. The
Festival of Lights includes light displays from various Lynchburg businesses and organization for citizens to view as they drive through the park. In addition, two
open house nights are held with animated light scenes (ex: dancing gingerbread men) and free holiday treat giveaways. More information on Festival of Lights
sponsorship opportunities will be available in June 2017.
DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE | Various Sponsorship Levels
Lace up those dancing shoes and hit the dance floor with Lynchburg Parks and Recreation! This semi-formal, family-oriented dance allows for girls ages 6 to 18 and
the significant men in their lives to bond with a night of fun. Fathers, uncles, brothers, and grandfathers – we’re talking to you! Admission to the dance includes two
hours of dancing, light refreshments, access to a photo booth, and one flower for each female attendee. This is a night you won’t want to miss! More information on
Daddy Daughter Dance sponsorship opportunities will be available in November 2017.
HEALTHFEST | Various Sponsorship Levels
Join us as a sponsor at HealthFest, a festival hosted by Lynchburg Parks and Recreation that celebrates health and wellness! HealthFest will take place at Miller
Park on October 21, 2017, and offers attendees four hours of free health and wellness programming and demonstrations, as well as access to healthy food options,
and the ability to learn about various health and wellness businesses and organizations from the city. More information on HealthFest sponsorship opportunities
will be available in July 2017.
VETERANS APPRECIATION LUNCHEON | Various Sponsorship Levels
Join us as a sponsor for our Veterans Appreciation Luncheon, hosted around or on Veterans Day each year, as we celebrate and salute the men and women who
proudly served our country. At this event, Veterans enjoy comradery, a free buffet lunch, door prizes, entertainment, and moving remarks from various Veterans.

Hosting the Virginia Commonwealth Games at Liberty University is a huge undertaking for both Lynchburg Parks and Recreation and the City of Lynchburg, and
doing so will require lots of help! So, we’re reaching out to our community for support as we put our best foot forward towards executing this fantastic event.
Want to help? We have sponsorship opportunities available through Parks and Recreation. Help sponsor our athlete, friends, and families tailgate party, hospitality
