Black History Month,
also known as National African American History
Month, is a time to celebrate
and recognize the tremendous achievements that African Americans have contributed to our nation.
In honor of Black History
Month, here are some words
of wisdom from famous African Americans:
“Success isn’t about how
much money you make. It’s
about the difference you
make in people’s
lives.” (Michelle Obama)
“You must never be fearful
about what you are doing
when it is right.” (Rosa
Parks)
“The future belongs to those
who prepare for it today.” (Malcolm X)
“I can accept failure; everyone fails at something. But I
can’t accept not trying
again.” (Michael Jordan)
“We are the change that we
seek.” (Barack Obama)
“Stick with love. Hate is too
great a burden to
bear.” (Martin Luther King,
Jr.)
“Nothing will work unless
you do.” (Maya Angelou)
“Without a struggle there
can be no progress.” (Frederick Douglass)
“No person is a friend who
demands your silence, or
denies your right to
grow.” (Alice Walker)
“Have a vision. Be demanding.” (Colin Powell)
