Volunteers Needed: Employee Focus Groups
New Hampshire
The Employee Survey is an important tool for building a stronger workplace, where
opinions and insights are valued. After sharing the survey results, we also made a
commitment to use the findings to develop a list of action items.
To help us better understand the results and create more
effective action plans, HR and Corporate Relations are
partnering with a2bplanning, a vendor specializing in custom
research, to conduct a series of focus groups and one-on-one
leadership interviews with employees in Connecticut,
Massachusetts and New Hampshire during the month of August.




We are inviting a cross-section of represented, nonrepresented, supervisor and management employees
from all organizations company-wide to participate. (See
the schedule below.)
Each focus group will be conducted by a2bplanning —
not Eversource — and we are asking for volunteers to
provide honest and open feedback.
Your feedback will be kept confidential — the sessions
will not be recorded — to ensure employees feel
comfortable speaking openly and honestly, and the
moderators will take notes. Any employee quotes
included in the summary report will be kept anonymous.
Seating is limited and you must have supervisor approval
to attend.

Customer Kudos for Anthony Rivera
A customer praised the work of Anthony Rivera, a trouble
shooter in Hartford, for his assistance to safely move an electric
line so that repairs could be made on the chimney at their
home in Bolton. “He was absolutely wonderful to work with,”
the customer stated in an email. “He was friendly and
professional and solved the problem of the electric line being in

Massive Electrical Equipment on the Move in Western Massachusetts
As part of our ongoing commitment to improve service to customers, we are planning the deliveries of large pieces
of electrical equipment to a substation in Northfield. The
deliveries are part of a regional transmission system upgrade
designed to boost system reliability and improve the flow of
power in Western Massachusetts.
The massive electrical transformer will be delivered in three
parts to a substation located at Northfield Mountain Pumped
Storage Facility on Millers Falls Road. The significant height
and weight of each of the three parts—more than 15 feet and
nearly 300,000 pounds—requires a special truck for delivery
which is more than 85 feet long.
Volunteer Opportunity in Massachusetts
Thank you to all the Eversource volunteers who will be working at the Cradle to Crayons 10th Year Anniversary
Backpack-A-Thon on Friday at City Hall Plaza! We’ve got another great volunteer opportunity coming up.

New Hampshire News
Summer Projects
Beefing Up System
Reliability Statewide
Eversource is engaged in electric
system reliability projects in several
New Hampshire locations this
summer, including a $600,000
investment to strengthen an
important transmission line that
runs from the Webster Substation
in Franklin to the North Road
Substation in Sunapee. The stormhardening work includes installing
more than 200 braces on existing
structures along 25 miles of
overhead electric lines.
Additional work to enhance the reliability of the electric system in the Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee Region is expected
to be completed in the fall, including the replacement of existing structures in Claremont with stronger, steel
structures. The improvements will make this portion of our system in the central/western portion of the state more
resistant to severe weather. Eversource also recently upgraded structures along the company’s transmission lines in
southern New Hampshire.
Employee Political Action Committee Welcomes Five to Steering Team
Eversource PAC-NH recently welcomed five employees as new steering committee members: Marc Geaumont,

Management Specialist; Rick Labrecque, Manager/Distributed Generation; and Allen Desbiens, Regulatory Affairs
Senior Analyst. The steering committee plays a key role to strengthen New Hampshire’s employee political action
committee, including determining which political candidates to support through member contributions. For more
information on Eversource PAC-NH, contact Kathleen Lewis.
