Cleisthenes Chapter of Alpha Rho Chi

Recruitment
During the fall, we began our rush events with Broombali, a tour around Houston and a night out
with the brothers. For our first spring recruitment, we invited students to eat out at Cresent City
Beignets, Pink's Pizza, and had an ice cream social providing FREE food and snacks.
We are happy to welcome the Lambda Class of our chapter: Dan Le, Barbara Blanco, Pita Diaz,
Nicolas Herrera, and Sarah Kim. Our new brothers have been very active in recruiting others to join
our family.
Fundraisers
What's better than coming to school on Monday morning? A Monday where the Cleisthenes
Chapter provides fresh coffee and donuts right when students and faculty come in. For Valentines
Day, our brothers made Valentines Cards and sold them in the College of Architecture. The
Cleisthenes Chapter also sold raffles for a pair of salvaged Astrodome seats, a priceless piece of
the history.
learning
We are getting ready to host an event called "Coffee with a Professional" where we invite various
professionals of the allied arts. In a casual setting, our brothers can get to learn more about their
fields of interests. We also have alumnus who are willing to shair their professional experience as
well.
Brotherhood
To get a better understanding of what being a brother is, the Cleisthenes Chapter began going on
"Bra Dates" to get to know our brothers individually and create a stronger bond. As a group, we
played laser tag, broomball, and went to a brother's house to carve pumpkins.
looking forward
We are looking forward to welcoming our Spring class pledges and planning out the Fall season
during the summer months.
