Urbana Middle School Tiger Pride Breakfast Friday, March 9, 2012 December Students of the Month Ingenuity Team 6A ± Greg Davis Greg is an exemplary Ingenuity student. He is always prepared and eager to participate in the learning process. He is not only an absolute joy to have in class;; he is a role model for his peers. He is always open to new ideas and working collaboratively with new students. He is a diligent student who always works hard to turn in assignments on time. Greg is a well-rounded young man who truly adds to the learning environment. Odyssey Team 6B ± Anna Lubienski Anna is a great representative of the expectation of a student here at UMS. Anna is a role model with her peers because she is hard working, consistently focused, and respectful of her teachers and peers. She is willing to work with any student and give assistance when asked. Anna does not fold when challenged. She is a great candidate for Student of the Month. Visioneer Team 7A ± Emma Gray Emma is a strong leader in the classroom. She is a respectful, attentive student. You can count on Emma for an answer or a thoughtful question. She has a smile for her peers and adults alike. Aspire Team 7B ± Jenna Keefer Jenna deserves to be the Aspire Student of the Month for December. She works hard to maintain and improve her skills in all classes. Jenna spends time outside of school on her writing. She participates in UMS Cross Country and Park District Soccer during the same season and is still ready with schoolwork each day. Jenna keeps a positive attitude when things do not go right. She is more than just ready for class, she is there to gain and contribute as much as she can! Hercules Team 8A ± Kayla Webb Kayla is an exemplary student in every aspect of her character. She respects others and she respects herself. Wise beyond her years, Kayla helps make Hercules great! Incredible Team 8B ± BriAnna Torrence BriAnna is very diligent. She always gets her work done, does a wonderful job with her assignments, and is in a generally positive mood all the time. A positive influence in class, BriAnna sets a good example each day. P.E. Department ± Damion Davis (Aspire Team 7B) Damion is a good leader and role model. He exhibits excellent sportsmanship and is very respectful of others. He creates a very positive atmosphere in the classroom. 2 January Students of the Month Ingenuity Team 6A ± Nathan Durkin Nathan Durkin is an awesome kid and a dedicated student! He is always prepared and eager to learn. He always has a warm and welcoming smile on his face ± a true role model for his peers. He is an extremely hard worker, who never gives up and continuously goes the extra mile. All Ingenuity teachers and students love having Nathan on their team! Odyssey Team 6B ± Magnus Parente Magnus is studious and kind. He is always looking to learn more, and to understand better, which always shows through the questions he asks. Magnus is a role model to other students in all respects. We are therefore very proud to nominate him as our Student of the Month. Oh, and we like his soccer jerseys too. Visioneer Team 7A ± Jamon Carter-Grady Jamon is an extremely hard working student that does not quit when faced with a challenge. He is a leader for his peers modeling positive behavior. Jamon stays true to himself and has a smile his teachers enjoy seeing in and out of class. Keep up the good work Jamon! Aspire Team 7B ± Alex Hoerman Alex consistently displays positive character both in and out of the classroom. By participating in class, he helps create an encouraging classroom. He shows a tremendous effort in his academics and maintains positive relationships with his peers. Alex is a great role model and a pleasure to have in class. He participates in extra- curricular activities and shows leadership there as well. Hercules Team 8A ± Michael Blatnik Michael is a joy in class. He can always be counted on to be a shining star and reliable. He has a great attitude and is always willing to help his teachers and classmates out. Incredible Team 8B ± Jacob Hogan Jacob shows an enthusiasm for school that is inspiring. He is a positive influence in class and he always displays a great curiosity for learning. ESL ± Yichen Wang (Odyssey Team 6B) Yichen has worked extremely hard to learn English. She is conscientious and hard working in classes. She is kind and helpful to her classmates. She is always prepared for class and takes part in the lessons. Yichen is an active learner and great role model. We are proud to nominate her as Student of the Month. 3 February Students of the Month Ingenuity Team 6A ± Jan Ondrejcek Jan is an awesome kid! He is an extremely hard worker and a positive leader on the Ingenuity Team. Jan is always prepared and ready to take on the day. Jan is very creative and has a great sense of humor. The Ingenuity teachers and students truly enjoy having him on their team! Odyssey Team 6B ± Claire Lambeth Claire is a great role model to other students. She consistently displays positive character, is a leader in the classroom, and has a great work ethic. She helps create an encouraging environment in the classroom, making us very proud to have her on our team and to nominate her as our Student of the Month. Visioneer Team 7A ± Sruti Ekkirala Sruti is always a polite student that strives to work her best in each task she tackles. Sruti never settles and willingly revises work if need be. To other students, Sruti is a leader and a pillar for what a successful student looks like. She never hesitates to help fellow students and treats fellow students with respect. We see Sruti going very far in life with the leadership and dedication she already displays in 7th Grade. Aspire Team 7B ± Kanetra Leach Kanetra has made a major improvement on taking initiative and being responsible academically. She is respectful to her teachers and peers, and is a positive leader by helping students around her. Kanetra shows a genuine concern for others. Hercules Team 8A ± Katherine Mora Katherine is always dependable and willing to help and work hard. Incredible Team 8B ± Vanessa Cano Vanessa is a wonderful, conscientious young lady who always sets a good example in class. She always gets her work done, helps other students, and is attentive in class. Great job Vanessa! Foreign Language ± Sam Arend Sam is a responsible, trustworthy, and conscientious student.
