Class of 2015 8th Grade Graduation Information Packet Dear Parents/Guardians: The students, staff and graduation committee are working hard on plans to make graduation a fun and memorable time for your 8th grader. This packet contains information that will help you prepare for the big event on Thursday June 11th, 2015! Please review the information and important date reminders found on the checklist attached. We have worked hard to keep graduation activities affordable and enjoyable for all. We were able to reduce the one-time fee to $45 for each student, thanks to the two fund raising events held in February. The fee will cover the cost of the following graduation activities/items: • • • • • • • Graduation breakfast (student only-this has changed from years past) Class of 2015 Memory Book Graduation Dance/Party (DJ and food) Décor (ceremony, breakfast, dance) Class gift Graduation ceremony Class of 2015 T-shirt A separate fee is required for the Nicolet Partner School Dance. This charge is distinct, since it is not a Bayside only activity, but is attended by all schools feeding into Nicolet regardless of where your child is attending high school. Look for more details shortly. If you find these fees a strain for your family, please notify Patty DeGraff at (414) 247-4201 or [email protected]. Calls are confidential. We are excited to present our Sub-Committee chairs: • • • • • Decorations: Kelly Levin and Sally Wahl Dance: Genina Berger Ceremony: Tom and Lila Perez Memory Book: Deb Schifano and Julie Karnes Graduation Video: Julie and John Karnes • • • • • Class Gift: Donna Miller Breakfast: Becky Noble and Susan Goudreau Class Video: Missy Hallberg Vollmer Tickets: Diana Stellhorn Program: Laura Kramer If you would like to volunteer, please contact Chris Murphy at [email protected]. Please let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to celebrating with you and your graduate! All funds received will go towards the 2015 Class Gift, a new drinking fountain (see description below) as well as helping BMS families for whom the fees may be a hardship. Sponsors will be recognized in our graduation ceremony program. In keeping with our “Hollywood” theme, the following levels of giving are available: Producer: $50 and above Director: $25 Actor: $10 The Elkay EZH2O Bottle Filling Station was overwhelmingly voted on by the 8th Grade Graduates as the 2015 Class Gift. This unit can deliver a clean, quick water bottle fill, which enhances sustainability by minimizing our dependency on disposable plastic bottles. These coolers come with a 3,000 gallon filtration system and are available for a cost of $1,568 per unit. The District’s future goal is to install 6 units throughout the school. Our Class of 2015 goal is to raise enough funds for the installation of one unit. Thank you for your consideration! Page 2 of 7 We need pictures of the 8th grade students for the 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony Slideshow. It’s easy! Just email 3-5 pictures to [email protected] All of the photos should be of your student through the years enjoying friends/participating in school functions or just a great photo you want to share of them growing up. The photos will be on a slide show before, during and after the Graduation Ceremony. If you only have hard copies and are unable to convert to digital those can be turned into the school office, scanned and returned back to you. Due Date for the pictures is Friday, March 27th, 2015. Thank you – 8th Grade Graduation Committee Page 3 of 7 Class of 2015 Graduation Ceremony Information • Every family is allotted five (5) tickets for the ceremony.
