NHC makes donation
to library
Within recent months,
the Dunklin County Library received a donation
from National Health
Care in Kennett. The donation was given to better the library experience
of the older library patrons.
The Dunklin County Library decided to order
book marks with this
contribution. These book
marks are made from a
durable plastic material
that magnifies the litera-
ture the patron is reading.
The bookmark also features a measurement ruler on either side of the
bookmarker.
Dunklin County Library
Director, JoNell Minton
expressed “we are so
grateful to NHC for the
donation they made to
the library. We believe
these bookmarks will be
beneficial to our patrons
who have difficulty reading the smaller print materials.”

Bill Bryson’s “One
Summer” will be the
topic for the September Book Discussion
group.
Bill Bryson takes the
incidents from the
summer of 1927,
which
involved
Charles
Lindbergh,
Babe Ruth, Al Capone
and the first “talkie,”
as well as much more
and fits them all into
“One Summer.”
This month Due to
the Delta Fair Parade, the Book Discussion Group will
meet Monday, September 26 at 7
p.m.

The theme will be “A is
for Apple, B is for
Book.” The story time
will
feature
apple
themed books, activities
and crafts. Building up
to October 4, the library
has an apple tree banner
on display at the front
counter. Until the day of
story time, children are
asked to come in, check
out a few books and
write the name of a favorite book on a paper
apple. These apples will
then be placed on the
tree each day. “we hope
to have a tree full of apples come day of story
time,” Julie Orf said.
