55 CONNECTION
2017 Calendar of Events
IT’S ALMOST SPRING AND THE PERFECT TIME
to join
First National Bank’s 55 Connection Club and delight in TWO FABULOUS THEATRE
SHOWS along with GREAT COMPANY, the beautiful TWIN CITIES and fun!
DAY 1:
We will be arriving at our
overnight lodging at the Country Inn & Suites
in Plymouth. We have reserved seats at the
Chanhassen Dinner Theatre where we will
enjoy a delicious dinner from their menu and
see the exciting and well known production
of GREASE. Fancy a nostalgic evening full of
greased-up hair, jukebox jingles and bobbysocks. The most popular, fun-filled musical
in the history of Rock ’n’ Roll is packed
with explosive energy, vibrant 1950s pop
culture and unforgettable tunes: “Summer
Nights,” “Look at Me, I’m Sandra Dee,” “We
Go Together,” “Greased Lightnin’,” “Beauty
School Dropout,” AND added songs made
popular in the beloved film: “Grease (Is The
Word),” “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and
“You’re the One That I Want.” Join Sandy,
Danny, those groovy TBirds, sassy Pink Ladies
and the whole gang at Rydell High for an
affectionate satire of high school life in the
‘50s. It’s a high-octane Rock ‘n’ Roll party that
entertains from start to finish.
DAY 2:
MARCH 29-30, 2017
2 DAYS/ 1 NIGHT
WEDNESDAY - THURSDAY
This morning we will enjoy a
relaxing morning and an included breakfast at
our hotel and an included lunch at the Green
Mill before our matinee performance at The
Plymouth Playhouse of “Rise up, O Men”.
Sixth in the Church Basement Ladies series,
“Rise up, O Men” is a brand new musical
comedy featuring the men of the church and
your favorite church Basement Ladies who
serve them. As these hard-working farmers
discuss their scrap lumber piles and benefits
of weld vs solder, they unintentionally disrupt
the order of the kitchen. But that’s what
happens when you let the rooster into the
hen house. After an uplifting afternoon at the
theatre, it is now time to head for home. We
share with friends our thoughts of the great
performances we have shared in the Twin
Cities and make normal stops in route for
comfort as we travel home.

NEW ATM PROCEDURE
The new Debit MasterCard’s with chip encryption
technology have arrived! All cardholder were mailed
their new cards during the month of November. If
you have not received your new chip card, please
give us a call at 218-751-2430. We’ll be happy to
assist you.
We’ve also beefed up security at all of our First Teller
24 ATM locations. This means the way in which your
ATM transaction is processed is safer, more secure
and a little different. Now, you will be instructed to
‘double dip’ (insert your card twice) at the ATM. Begin
your transaction by swiping your card. The ATM will
read the data on the magnetic stripe, telling the machine that your card has a chip. You will then be prompted to re-insert
your card. The chip reader will clamp down (i.e. hold on to the card) for the duration of the transaction. Don’t forget your
card! Once the transaction is complete and you’ve taken your cash the ATM will prompt you to remove your card.
Best wishes to our
members who have birthdays
and anniversaries in the
next couple months.
We wish you a very special day!

Note from Director
Hello 55 Connection Friends!
We made it through January, and now February, which is a shorter
month, then March and we will have it made! Then spring will be on the
horizon. I have to say the weeks and months go quickly, but it seems
that winter sticks around way too long!
Since our Christmas parties in December, things have been a bit quiet
for our club. We should have had a winter getaway scheduled ~ it
would have saved me from a nasty fall on the ice the middle of January
that left me with a fractured leg. I’m doing well and have become quite
a speed queen on these crutches, I have to say! A few more weeks and
I should be ready for my FitBit Challenge to get back in shape. Being
active is what I enjoy and this has been the most difficult for me.
Our club has several day-trips and overnight getaways coming up
and I hope you will take advantage of these. The theater overnight
trip the end of March is still open for registrations. We’re hoping to fill
a few more seats! Finding shows that our members will enjoy can
be challenging, and with more stringent ticket policies, theaters are
requesting full payments well in advance and non-refundable within
their guidelines.
As a reminder~ even if you see an event or trip is sold out, please call
and check on availability if you are interested. Invariably, unforeseen
circumstances can happen to any one of us, which means a cancellation,
so it’s nice to have names to fall back on to fill a spot.

TRIP CANCELLATION
POLICY 2017
Motorcoach Tours: Cancellation Policy Every attempt is
made to provide refunds for any cancellation after final
payment date, but we cannot guarantee. We will always
refund whatever portion 55 Connection is reimbursed
by suppliers, but because of contracts between suppliers
for attractions, theater tickets, dinner cruises, sporting
events tickets, etc., it is never a guarantee. Cancellation
insurance is available for purchase and is highly
recommended. Insurance payments must be included
with deposit and the trip brochures will always have the
insurance prices listed.
All Tours Airfare Inclusive: (Cruises Included) On our
trips with inclusive air, the cost per person includes the
cancellation insurance coverage under the terms and
conditions of that tour.
Do I Need Travel Insurance? This is the most usable and
worthwhile kind of insurance. It’s expensive to cancel or
interrupt any prepaid kind of travel, and for a fraction of
the trip cost, you can alleviate the risk of losing money if
something unforeseen gets in the way.
Even when traveling by motorcoach, if you become ill
and have to return home quickly, or if someone at home
becomes ill, etc., your travel insurance would reimburse
your airfare if you needed to fly home as well as any
portion of the tour you had to miss. Without insurance,
you are left to pay all these expenses. Having the
insurance gives you that peace of mind and allows you
to enjoy worry-free travel.
